B&Q Bolton

It's a bit and q, literally does what it says on the tin. That said I went in a Christmas to get a couple of small bits and the seasonal section Christmas lights etc, was well set up, the store is spacious and staff friendly and helpful. Photo of what was bought and some horrified pooches.

Can't praise the staff here enough.I'm doing a landscaping project for my disabled mother and came here on Wednesday to pick up wood, an electric hedge trimmer and other bits. Staff were very helpful taking a full trolley of bits to the checkout for me while I continued shopping, pushing my mothers wheelchair. So helpful at the checkouts and helped take everything to the car for us.Unfortunately when we got home we found we'd been charged twice for something but when we went back on thursday they sorted it out very quickly for us.Unfortunately, again, the hedge trimmer wouldn't work so we went back again today and had it exchanged straight away with no fuss at all.Every time I've been in the past I've had nothing but excellent service here.

If you going to buy fence panel go and get it yourself for better quality because if you buy it online for delivery it is not delivered from b and q and they bring you the cheap quality. I have paid the same price I should not get something different.

Worst shopping experience. Rude staff in electrical department. No brochures for there products. Pick the electric fire we liked at a cost of 620 pounds. But the attitude of the staff we decided to spend our pension money elsewhere..

Large store selling all the usual stuff you'd expect, however, there did seem to be missing some item or limited stock ie. No blue slate chippings, limited wood, no garden furniture, but perhaps that's seasonal thing or they've sold it all, it is September. No wood floor & patio paint, no large sheds, maybe you have to view them on-line. However, prices do seem reasonable compared with other stores.

It is one of the most famous DIY shops in the UK. Today, I went there to buy a furniture board for my DIY project. I chose a 2500mm long board. The staff are professional and helped me cut it into two pieces in less than 1 minute. The first 5 cuts are free of charge. I appreciated for their help!

As a customer i was treated horrendous! Firstly i went to get some pinewood which i paid first then i went to the timber cutting service but was told it was too thin to cut which then i was treated with good customer service. I then went out to the exit because i already paid it with proof of receipt then i was chased by two employees of this company who was called andy and the security gaurd called obaid khan who works for mitie. Obaid was more towards me than andy asking for proof which i then provided and once he seen it, it was the most embarrassing walk of shame. I then went back in feeling frustrated because it was uncalled for! Unprofessional and unskilled employees! Staff needs retraining and i ask for the manager and she was not hearing me out as a customer. Then i wanted the two employees name but because they wouldn't give it me i got more frustrated and because i had a voice i was then told im banned. For what? Because i got accused of stealing with proof of recipe? Then i went back to my car got the stuff i had paid for went back in and the lady that originally served me helped me refund my money back. This is vile behaviour on your customers that actually paid with respect. I will never go back even they banned me. Please see cctv from 9.50am 1/11/23 at b&q bolton. Very good and large range of products. There are some items that are at a reasonable price, but you have to look for them. Plenty of parking but miserable stuff at the tills.

Met a lovely young man named Mohammed, couldn’t be happier with the service provided. He was smiling, came over when he saw I was struggling and treated me so well. I couldn’t praise this young man enough. He showed me the best lawnmower for my needs and I’m ecstatic about my purchase. Thanks Mohammed from the lawn mower section :)
