Kinross Trout Fishery

Top class fishery and definitely in my top 3 fisheries I have ever had the pleasure to fish. Very well run and Garry has built up a great team of staff to support him who all do a great job and are always very welcoming. The quality of the fish is second to none and the fishery grounds very well maintained. If you enjoy float tubing then this is a superb fishery to do this. If float tubing is not for you then fishing from the bank here is equally as good. 3 superb fly only waters and 1 bait water means the place caters for all types of angler both experienced and novice. Very welcoming for kids and families too so a good day out to be had for everyone. Very highly recommended.

First time going, it was meant to be terrible weather but we avoided the snow. It is a lovely place, loads of places to fish. Friendly staff, want you to catch, felt like they wanted us to be there and come back. Didn't overly chat. Reasonably priced £20 for 4 hours catch and release. Actually think its 19 but a pound was for entering biggest fish of the month where you get some money.Lots of flies on site to purchase I saw blob and buzzer gear for fly tying too, hot drinks usual snacks, only thing I didn't see was a toilet. May need to check that for next time as no signs and never saw a port a loo or anything but first time so I may not of noticed as only four hours. I was blown away with the hard fight of the fish even small ones where fighting hard. Like really hard, stunning place as you can see. Would I go again, absolutely cos I felt every cast I could of caught and that feeling never really left. Something about it.

Superb fishery plus extra activities ,rifle shooting, archery, laser clay pigeons shooting and axe throwing. We took a two hour session for the 2 grandchildren . Great help from the instructor and the kids loved it

Been attending Kinross Fishery for many years now and although I’m not the worlds greatest fisherman I always enjoy every visit to this fantastic facility. The surroundings and general layout of the fishery is always maintained immaculately and the staff always courteous and friendly and always on hand with advice or to ask how your doing with regards how many fish you’ve managed to land.As I mentioned I’m not the worlds best fisherman and don’t have the skills and expertise of some of the top anglers at Kinross but nevertheless I still enjoy every visit even although I’ve had more bad days than good but not because of the lack of fish in the ponds because you can see that the fishery has an abundance of big fish when they swim by laughing at my casting and lack of prowess of fly choice.And even when I have another “Blank” day and no fish it doesn’t dishearten me because I’m already looking forward to another relaxing day taking in the superb surroundings of this fantastic and scenic fishery.

An amazing day spent for a big family birthday at Kinross Trout Fishery. Gary and the team incredibly knowledgeable and made a fun day for all. even the little ones aged 3-13 got the special treatment. And this whopper is still in there if you want to go and find her too!

Started fishing again after a long number of years as my grandson and nephew were keen to learn both boys love going to Kinross Trout Fishery where everyone is very helpful and friendly sometimes we catch fish sometimes we don’t but the boys are always keen to go back and try to improve there technique as am I still learning at 71

Excellent venue for fishing & the activity centre, Garry and the staff always make you feel welcome and would go the extra mile to make your visit well worth it, the permit hit on arrival where you pay to fish is fully stocked with refreshments and equipment and all at affordable prices, the bait pond for the family’s is always busy and the young kids really enjoy their days out.Would recommend taking a visit here if you haven’t done so yet!

Amazing place to go fishing. Even when the weather isnt great you'll always be able to catch something there. The staff are great and the fish pull strong would recomand to everyone.

What a great fishery to stumble on, the staff know how to have a good laugh, Gary was helpful and happy to give us his time. Its clear he looks after his fish! Being a first timer it was great to know I could have my first shot for free! Had a blast with the old fella catching multiple cracking rainbow trouts all on drys. Will be back soon

Attended the fishery yesterday, with 4 friends. First impression was very good regarding manager Gary making everyone feel welcome and his hospitality was first class. The fishery was well maintained and organised and what a lovely setting. The price ranges were good value and there was an option for every angler, and in particular the future of angling the younger generation. I really enjoyed my 4hrs 2 fish then catch and release ticket and will definately return. The quality of fish was also very good.A breath of fresh air fishery managed by someone who cares.Kind Regards Alan Jackson
