Amazing place to stay in Orkney. Hosts are so warm and welcoming , location is peaceful and serene , makes fantastic breakfast . Good parking spaces . Friendly dog

Me and my friend stayed here for 4 nights and we arrived late but was welcomed by the owner and her husband with a great attitude the owner Shona showed us to our room and sorted out a time suitable for breakfast the room was very clean and had everything we needed.In the morning we went downstairs for breakfast and was sat in a very clean dining room the breakfast was great and served on hot plates.Overall our stay was excellent and I couldn’t be happier with the service and friendly people We met.I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a great Orkney experience.

Lovely views from Room 5, at £200 pound for 2 nights (double room, 2 people) end of August. Shona, Mike and dog were very welcoming hosts. Clean, well catered rooms. Friendly and generous breakfast catering. 10/10 no complaints.

Lovely warm welcome from hosts. Beyond helpful and will go out her way to help with anything. Gorgeous breakfasts, comfy beds, good prices, perfect location. Can’t recommend enough. Can’t wait to come back.

Shona and Mike do a great job of welcoming their guests and doing everything they can to make us comfortable. Shona provided a wonderful bagged lunch for us when we needed to leave early for a tour.

My father and uncle stayed for 3 nights and could not praise the lady of the guest house any higher. From the warmth of the welcome and friendliness of other guests has to be experienced. Shona is the ideal host. Nothing is a bother to this wonderful lady. The rooms are spotless and beds comfortable. Meals are of the highest standards. The view from the dining room must be seen. Close by is the wartime masterpiece the Italian Chapel. The local bus service to and from Kirkwall is only yards away. For those keen on fishing it's paradise. If you are looking for peace and tranquility then look no further. They sincerely hope to return at some future date.

Good room yet DO NOT EAT IN THIS PLACE unless pre-paid as charges for extra food is not just excessive it takes the piss.. £89.00 for 2 plates of average spaghetti bolognese"...AVOID!!!!!"

Shona was a wonderful host, and that alone meant a great deal. Breakfast was tasty and filling. One of the windows in my assigned room wouldn't close completely, but in all other respects the room was tidy and comfortable.

Lovely B&B centrally located on the Orkney Island. You can easily drive to everywhere from here. Staff are great and breakfast is freshly cooked and yummy. Nearest restaurant for dinner is 8 Km away.
