Stayed here for a week with friends and family and cannot recommend highly enough. Beautiful house and gardens in a great location. We were lucky enough to have a guided tour of the house to hear about its history. Very well equipped to cater for a big party (there were 12 of us). Cannot fault our stay in any way.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hodroyd Hall which is a magnificent 17th Century Country Manor. I was impressed by the interior which was decorated with period furniture, paintings & decorative items that transported me back in time. It was a true delight to explore each and every room including the Cromwell bedroom. The Library was the perfect place to sit back and relax with a good book, or simply admire the elegant décor. The Dining room was a wonderful place to enjoy a meal or simply soak up the serene atmosphere & the Kitchen was large & had every item you could want including a hand mixer. The orangery was another highlight. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, with soft plush beds and elegant furnishings. It was a true oasis of peace and comfort after a long day of walking & exploring the area which included visiting the Sculpture Park nearby. One of the most memorable experiences was the murder mystery evening. It was a fun and interactive way to experience the manor with good friends. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting.Overall, I was completely enchanted by this magnificent house and would recommend it to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable experience. Whether you're interested in the history and culture or simply looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway, this is the place.Thank you so much Stephen, hope to see you soon.

Words cannot express the wonderful energy and uniqueness of Hodroyd Hall, not only of the place itself but also the owners. I recently held my well-being yoga retreat here and what an absolute delight it was, from arriving to reluctantly leaving. We had full downstairs exclusivity of this impressive hall, and we all felt so at home. I will certainly be returning again, I can’t express how beautiful this place is, from the eye catching interiors to the exterior delights of the gardens. I would highly recommend it.

What a truly magnificent place! My family and I were lucky enough to spend 5 days over Christmas at this beautiful house. We loved it so much we booked again for next year before we even came home! The house itself is stunning. Steeped in history with lots of original features and a lots of space to explore. The perfect place for a family get together with a beautiful fairy lit orangery that immediately became our party room! The place felt homely with everything we needed to make our Christmas run smoothly. The comfy beds, super soft towels and bath robes provided added extra luxury, whilst the huge kitchen with large dining table, appliances, the lovely welcome basket filled with goodies and tea cups galore made meal times a doddle! The owner, Stephen was more than accommodating and only a phone call away to answer any questions we had and super helpful with a few little magic Christmas touches.Thank you so much. We’re counting down the days to come back.

This is probably the most beautiful Manor House you could stay in. The house (which is huge - more like a castle!) has been lovingly restored to an exceptionally high level and you get to be lord and lady of the manor! I cannot recommend this place any higher - it is close to perfection.

There was a group of 12 ladies celebrating my forthcoming wedding. What an AMAZING place Hodroyd Hall is. The building and rooms are stunning and so historic, the gardens are beautiful, the beds are so comfy. We had the most lovely weekend together and all very sad to leave. The owner was great on communications. We are already planning a henversary. Highly recommend. Great local pub sun inn 15 minutes walk and just eat for a gorgeous curry from viceroy. If you are looking for some quality time to relax away from technology this is the place. If you like spooky places definitely go!!

What an amazing and atmospheric place this is! From the outside it’s the epitome of a manor house and on walking through the front doors, it certainly doesn’t disappoint. I was blown away by the spacious hall with its grand staircase and intricate details throughout each room. On our initial exploration of Hodroyd, as each new door opened, all you could hear from our group were the oohs and ahhs and wows! My en-suite bedroom, known as the Bridal Suite, was enormous and luxurious, as was the oh so comfy bed and bedding. At least for a few days, we all felt like we were Lords of the manor and would certainly recommend this venue for a stay with ‘a difference’.

Walking into Hodroyd Hall, you literally gasp at the stunning interior.Beautifully appointed with period furniture, paintings, and ornaments, you feel really privileged to be able to spend time in this Manor House. The kitchen is so well equipped that you’re not having to constantly fill the dishwasher, and if you want to cook, there is everything you might need.As for sleeping, the bedding is extremely comfortable and cosy. With plenty of space both indoors and outdoors – the library, the sitting room, and the dining room, as well as the orangery – as a group, we could all be together or find space to chill out quietly on our own.We stayed in the winter, but really look forward to going back in the summer, especially as there are so many wonderful outdoor spaces to visit.Thank you Stephen for all your hospitality
