Rediscovering yoga during a particularly stressful time in my life has been perfect and this has mainly been down to the instructor, Gemma. She is patient, supportive, kind and extremely professional.

Gemma is a thoughtful teacher who puts so much care into each of her classes and her students with a perfect mix of asana, pranayama and meditation. She honours the roots of yoga and is respectful to the practice. She has a calm and nurturing way about her which leaves me relaxed after every class. At my first class with her, the meditation had me in a state of utter bliss!Highly recommend.

GemmaThank you for a wonderfully organized retreat near Totnes.Fabulous whole food. Great group and company.Grounding yoga. Particularly enjoyed the creative writing and have since developed this tool and found it really beneficial to self growth. The setting was so natural and organic and lent itself well to a truely nourishing weekend.Keeping doing what your doing, such a giftThank youRachel

I love learning yoga with Gemma. She gives clear instructions and demonstrations with options for different body types / levels of experience. The class was unpretentious and authentic. It felt like a spiritual experience as opposed to purely a fitness class. Everything I was looking for.Thank you Gemma.

Avoid these retreats. Very overpriced. We could have stayed in a good hotel for the same price. We were expected to wash up and clean the kitchen in the guise of Karma Yoga which is perfectly acceptable if the price reflects this. We had come on a break from the chores!Unfortunately the organiser and teacher, Gemma, wasn’t very experienced in running retreats. She was extremely negligent with regard to covid safety. 2 people who were obviously suffering symptoms of covid…..sneezing and coughing….were allowed to participate. We pointed out to Gemma that we felt unsafe and uncomfortable with sharing the space with them. Instead of telling them it would be beneficial for themselves and the rest of us if they went home they were allowed to stay and participate. My friend and I stayed in our room to protect ourselves and missed half the yoga classes and all the indoor workshops. Unfortunately even after taking these precautions we still caught covid along with others. My elderly husband has also contracted covid. This was supposed to be a ‘wellness weekend’. It has left me feeling very poorly physically and suffering loss of income due to being unable to work A truly terrible experience.

Have been on two Wholly Yoga retreats and both were fantastic. Really well organised and structured, with a mix of different types of yoga, talks, walks and creative activities. Great food and fantastic settings too. Good value (for money, and for your soul). Thoroughly recommend any retreat run by Gemma.
