Was in on friday 14th may 2021 to purchase my Air Arms S510 Ultimate Sporter, Fantastic service and fantastic information given about my purchase, have been visiting the site for a few years and the staff are always fun and friendly. 1st class service :D

The shop/support/customer care from this place is second to none. I purchased a gun and had problems with misfires. Tom made it clear he would service my gun under warranty and did it there and then. No need to leave the gun and come back. Two springs replaced without a problem. When I continued to have problems Tom made it clear he would replace the firing pins and if that did not work I could get a refund. In the end the issue was hard primers on the cartridges causing the problems and not the gun. Happy customer!The shooting ground is as stated, all weather. The stands are designed to give you protection against the elements unlike some “bus shelter” types I’ve seen. The sporting layout (my preference) is excellent, although the stands could be more aesthetically pleasing i.e. they are steel cages and not wooden, however the actual layout of the ground more than compensates for this.I’ve turned up during a British Open, yet still managed to be able to shoot without queuing, which is amazing. On top of this there is an outside air gun range that my daughter loves. Again you shoot from under cover, so on rainy days you can still have a great days shooting without getting wet.Overall this is one of the best shooting grounds I have attended and caters for the full spectrum experience. All of the staff are friendly and approachable and if anything is not right tell them as they will address any issues promptly which is the true demonstration of excellent customer care.

The shop is staffed by very knowledgeable and helpfull guys who went out of their way to ensure I had for me the perfect gun and fit of that gun. All you could need or want under one roof.

I always hesitate before putting out a negative review of anywhere as i know how hard businesses need to work to stay in business.! So this review on the bad customer service in the shop isn't done without thinking about the impact, i just feel compelled to report what i think was very poor customer handling. This place has good potential in terms of a day out, however, i will think twice about going back after experiencing the very poor customer handling from one of the staff in the shop area. I had travelled a fair distance to visit the place yesterday with my son who was looking to purchase a shotgun within the next couple of months and with my friend who was looking to make a purchase yesterday. We were in the gunshop which is pretty well stocked with new and second hand guns and loads of ammunition all stocked in the one area. My friend and son are well acquainted with handling guns and they are VERY careful with them being mindful not to damage them. We were on the verge of asking a couple of questions to help home-in on a purchase decision when the chap serving behind the counter just went ballistic! He started shouting at us saying we could damage his guns. I understand that he has to ensure the guns on display stay in very good condition but surely propsective purchasers are able to carefully pick up and inspect what is likely to be quite a high value purchase. Anyway the guy just seemed to suddenly flip in to an angry guy with inappropriate shouting and commenting on the clothing that my friend was wearing, suggesting his jacket buttons could damage the gun! It was a very embarrassing experience and ruined what was a good day on a visit to this North Ayrshire Shooting Ground at Blackstone Farm. It's such a pity, as i had good memories of my 40th birthday present there with my wife and kids a few years ago, so the experience yesterday has just made it disappointing. It was only afterwards when i was thinking how bad the customer service was when the question occurred to me about whether a person who can turn in an instant in to an aggressive character should be in charge of a room full of guns and ammunition! It's a good place but totally spoiled by the bad attitude of the shop staff. If you want a day out that starts happily, and if you really can't avoid this place, then avoid the gunshop to make sure it ends happily! I wouldn't give them hard-earned cash with the bad customer handling experience i witnessed.

Kids had a great first clay shooting lesson. They’re hyper and can’t wait to go back. Friendly, patient staff. Great clay ground. Other shooting too. The shop made me drool!

Simply awesome Rob was a fantastic teacher cant wait for next lesson. Made to feel very welcome and taught by someone who knows his stuff. Anyone thinking of trying air rifles for target shooting cant recommend Rob high enough , regardless if your a novice or have a disability . Rob will have you shooting good in no timethanks rob see you guys soon one happy customer faultless start to finish

I found the staff helpful. I took a colleague new to shooting. The chap who owns/served us couldn’t have been more obliging. The facilities are all excellent

Not sure about the comment of the attitude" of shop staff that someone has referred to

Terrible experience! The chap who works in the shop has, what can only be described as, a downright awful attitude towards customers. He accused me of not being careful enough and almost bumping the guns on display into one another. Needless to say this was totally untrue, I have been around guns for years and understand the need to be careful. He shouted at me across the shop in front of other customers and was actually very aggressive. I can understand the guns are high value items and there is a need to be careful, however, could this individual not have approached me and kindly asked us to be careful? We were in the shop for around 30 minutes and at no point did he offer us any assistance or ask us to be careful. My friend was looking to purchase a shotgun, he does a fair amount of shooting and we walked out of the shop in total disbelief regarding how we had just been spoken to. Needless to say we will not be giving continental shooting supplies any money. If this worker speaks to customers like this, I can't imagine what he is like teaching people to shoot. Awful experience and I will never be back.
