Huckleberry was quite a troubled soul after a traumatic experience when he was only 8 months old. This manifested itself in him becoming very reactive. He reacted to other dogs, traffic and sole walkers. I got in touch with Clare, when frankly I'd come to the end of my tether. I was stressed and at a loss in how to help my boy. Claire bounded into out lives, full of positivity and energy. Huckleberry responded very well to her, so we started work. Clare came to our home, which was key to me and walked with us and Huckleberry to observe his behaviours. We were given the tools we needed to help Huckleberry's anxiety and also ways of giving some positive mental.stimulation in the home. Huckleberry is now a much happier boy, very much less reactive and I dont find our walks anywhere near as stressful, he is not perfect but that, is usually when my training" is lacking. If you are have any difficulties with your dog

So it’s taking a little while to write this review for no other reason than I wanted to make sure I give it the time it deserves. I’m not sure where to start. Thanks to pawfect training I have a new dog! She was always such a wonderful dog in every way but, after being attacked by another dog on her very first walk out as a puppy, was always reactive when we came across another dog. It was heartbreaking to see her so scared. I contacted Clare and explained my issue and started 1-1 sessions. I was amazed at how Clare could read Ash’s body language so well. I knew there would be lots of work for me to do on my own but Clare, from her very first visit give me the tools to do this and although I worked tirelessly between visits, I was never truly alone as Clare made it clear, I could contact her at any time between visits so I was not left worrying about anything. Clare was given a lot of pressure from myself as my plan had been to move to the states with Ash where she would need to spend the majority of her walks in dog parks with other dogs and if this was not going to be possible, the move would not happen. So let’s fast forward to now, I still cannot walk my amazing dog, without having a few tears. She is a different dog she is happy, confident and enjoys her walks. Not only this she has spent time, off lead interacting with Clare’s dogs and has taken part in a course of group training sessions with Clare and other dogs!!! Now, she is not totally fixed and by this, I just mean that I need to keep up my part of her training but as long as I don’t slip, I can enjoy doing all these amazing things with a dog who means the world to me and in return, she gives me everything you could ever dream out of owning a dog. This is the feeling everyone wants when you adopt a dog into your family and had it not be for Clare, I don’t think I would have ever fully experienced this with Ash. Mine and Ash’s life has changed due to Clare and I will never be able to fully thank her and show her what that means to me.

Ruby and I have just finished the Life Skills course with Clare and I cannot speak more highly of both that course and of Clare as a trainer. I first met Clare by attempting to attend one of her adventure walks which unfortunately I didn’t get to on time yet Clare was so approachable and having bumped into her in the carpark, she invited me to join for coffee with Ruby. I immediately could tell that Clare understood dogs on another level and wasn’t just selling a product here. She genuinely cares about the dogs and families she trains and treats each dog as an individual. There’s no one size fits all, even in the classes. They are adapted to suit the dynamics of the groups and keep the dogs (and humans) being challenged but not stressed or overwhelmed.I also contacted Clare to potentially join Ruby in a group session however after a call Clare advised me that it was not necessarily the right fit for Ruby or my overall situation and wouldn’t have been right for other dogs in the group. We arranged an individual walk for Ruby and Clare’s dogs which was really helpful and helped me to build my own confidence in how Ruby is with other dogs (she’s rather excitable and boisterous) and also highlighted some training aims for us. I also really just enjoyed the walk with Clare too! I was impressed that Clare put the needs of Ruby and the other dogs in the group session above potentially making more money from Ruby attending weekly than doing a one off session. Clare really listens to what the issue is and suggests a plan based on that rather than what I initially thought would be helpful or the most profitable. The welfare of all her canine clients is always at the forefront. The class Ruby has completed was really well planned with accompanying written information and advice in between classes. I always knew if I had any questions I could reach out as well. I have learned a great deal and have really come to enjoy my daily training sessions with Ruby and she has come on leaps and bounds now I actually have some idea what I’m doing! So much of training is nothing to do with the dog and everything to do with the human I’ve found!I would recommend Clare’s individual and group classes to anyone who genuinely wants to learn how to give their dog the best possible chance of success in training and to build the relationship with them too. It’s not a quick fix but true progress and lasting change never is. It takes consistent hard work on my part but I know where to turn if I need that support and I look forward to using Pawfecter Dog Training services again soon :) Thank you Clare

I took my dog Reggie to a puppy class and Claire went over and above to help us - she came to our house to assist with getting Reggie used to the crate in the car and helped with his nervousness around other dogs.He now attends a weekly group session and is always mega excited when Claire picks him up.Claire is passionate about dogs and is very friendly, reliable and trustworthy.
