It’s a nice place, the only issue that there were too many dogs.

We love coming here as a family. Perfect little track for young child to practise cycling and very picturesque

Amazing place to have a walk in the park with beautiful garden, also have a path for riding bike (which is of my concern)Plus there is lawn tennis ground where u can play with your friends

Good for walking and enjoying peace and quiet in the woods. Lots of plants and trees to teach little ones. Very surprised to see a hibiscus tree among all the greenery. Benches dotted along the routes for resting tired feet. Tennis courts a great idea as you do not see much of these nowadays. Different gardens showcasing various plants. Pity there are no rest rooms or playground areas for little ones.

Beautiful woods that feel very unique for the area. Lots of beautiful rhododendrons and a wonderfully kept plant garden which you can sit in.

Great for dog walks. A lot of lovely rivers and bridges to cross and walk at the side of. Massive woods and kept very clean and tidy with no rubbish at all

Fantastic parkland near Far Headingley. Small, free car park, tennis courts, formal gardens and woodlands which are said have inspired J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord of The Rings, when he worked at Leeds University

Superb for walking your dog or just having a walk with family and friends. Small car park, various gardens and 6 tennis courts, all well maintained. Good flat walk from the car park to the ring road, approx 3/4 mile each way. Lots of other paths going down to the stream at the bottom of the valley. Connects to Meanwood Park and Meanwood Valley Walk.

seems like a really nice place to visit / walk through any time of year. It has parking up top and also a council owned tennis court

Having not visited the Hollies in around 15 years, we found ourselves wondering why we had left it quite so long.The Hollies constitutes a mature arboretum, forest walks and stream-side trails that run along a stunning heavily wooded ridge of above the Meanwood Valley park. It also includes some formal gardens and tennis courts open to the public. The trails run a linear 2km towards the ring road but with the wide variety of paths that criss-cross up and down through the canopy it's possible to walk up to 6 or 7 kms if so desired. The main path is accessible to all, with the steeper forest paths much less so.This park is a wonderful forest retreat not 3 miles from Leeds city centre and feels rural enough to be somewhere in the Yorkshire dales albeit predominantly temperate rainforest in feel.Definitely recommend a visit whether you are a local or a visitor to the city and if you're lucky you may even find the redwood glade hidden away amongst the Douglas fir!!
