One of the worst mixed kebabs ive ever had. Overcooked, dry and salty. A real shame as this place was great years ago, but gone way downhill now

i got the salt and pepper chips and it was cold as well as being over seasoned. it was a strong taste of black pepper which was a bit disappointing and chips were wet because there was a pool of oil at the bottom of the box. chicken balls were good though as per usual.

Ordered fish and chips delivered. Batter wasn't crispy at all and whole meal was served in a polystyrene box rather than being wrapped in paper - hate it when this happens as feel like I've been cheated out of chips.

I arrived at the Abbey with fish n chips in mind. A busy period meant no fish on display. Not a problem because in about 7/8 minutes I had the freshest, crispy fried fish along with a generous portion of chips. I can honestly say I have never had a better piece of chip shop fish. Lovingly cooked to perfection. I have been twice since and ordered the same thing and the standard was equally as good. The difference is, they always use fresh fish, not frozen! And there’s also a passion from the owners to produce high quality food.

Use to love this chippy but it has steadily gone downhill over the last year or so. Last night ordered 2 kebabs and a portion of chips. Over £20 for cold, soggy chips which I think were leftover from lunchtime as very dark brown. Kebab meat was tough and I don’t know what the accompanying sauce was (we asked for garlic mayo but it were served watery curdled liquid). Would not recommend and won’t be returning.

Placed an order on line then realised it was the wrong location and would be too far away to get to and collect the order. I rang the takeaway within 5 minutes of placing the order...nothing special just 2 x fish and chips, and was told over the phone it was too late to cancel the order. Absolutely shocking customer service in my opinion. It's a shame there isn't minus star ratings.

Yet again get home to food missing and the staff are rude unhelpful and forgetful and the price you pay food not the best ,gone down this place
