I visited Douglas Hughes shop to purchase an engagement ring for my girlfiend. Linda and Phoebe were absolutely fantastic in helping me choose the right one and my girlfiend - now fiancé loved it! I had to take the ring back to alter the size and reset the stone which was done quickly and there was no charge. Would happily recommend.

I was searching for a ring as a gift to reflect my cornish born partners proud heritage, not unusual except that we live in Australia so I could not physically see any examples.my communication with Douglas gave me confidence to order the saphire and diamond wave ring in white gold . It was very promptlymade and posted.i picked it up today. it is beautifully hand made by a craftsman with obvious pride,she will love it!

After visiting most jewellery shops in St.Ives, Hayle, Penzance and being told my request wasn't possible, I finally stumbled across Douglas Hughes Fine Jewellery in Truro. Not only were they able to create exactly what I wanted, they were able to do it within my timeframe.A lovely family run business, where all members ( including Pickles) were professional and down to earth.My particular request had a great sentiment value to me which was handled in a delicate and sensitive way.I am delighted with my necklace and will definitely use Douglas Hughes for all future designs.Thank you!

Brilliant experience at Douglas Hughes, Truro today. We are thrilled with the highly detailed and quality pieces we purchased. The lady who served us could not have been more obliging, and we struck up a rapport immediately. We had much in common!! We have always wanted to come here, but the shop is closed on Mondays and we’ve always timed it wrong. I will make sure we revisit next year to see what Douglas has conjured up.
