A Star Driving School

My daughter passed her test first time with Philip. He was really easy to talk to as a parent and a pupil, and was cheerful, kind and patient. I would highly recommend learning to drive with A Star!

Where to start!? I can’t recommend Phil highly enough. As an older learner, I had a huge fear of getting in cars. I decided the only way to combat my phobia, was to actually learn. And after 14 months of being instructed by this most patient, relaxed, and understanding man, I finally passed. His kindness, and gentle way, put me immediately at ease. By time I had finished my first lesson, I realised, shockingly, that I had enjoyed it! So if it’s nerves and fear that is holding you back, this is your guy. Not only do I call him my instructor, I now call him my friend. If he can get me through a phobia and a test, then he can certainly do it for you too.

Phil has an excellent teaching style that quickly puts you at ease if you are at all nervous, quickly picks up on strengths and weaknesses and focuses on what you need to pass the test and be a good safe driver.- Great value for money- Relaxed and effective teaching style- 100% recommended

Both my sons learnt to drive with Philip, both passed first time with not too many lessons. They both thought he was extremely thorough and relaxed. He has an easy car to drive if you are tall.I would 100% recommend Philip, without hesitation.

Honestly one of the best teachers I've ever had the pleasure of being tutored by. Phil was calm and patient during my time learning to drive and the support he provided for both my theory and practical tests was outstanding.

As a late comer to driving , I was nervous , but what fun I had with this guy and I passed theory and practical super quick first time around too , thanks to the Boss ... it is life changing :) .Steve

It's always a tricky choice picking a driving instructor...I believe I struck gold with Philip. He instantly put me at ease, establishing my strengths and weaknesses, and focused on the need for me to pass as quickly as possible. He patiently allowed me to develop my confidence and skills. I was provided with the materials to study for my theory test, and supported with my learning. I looked forward to my driving lessons, the relaxed, yet professional way that I was taught was right up my street. I enjoyed our many varied conversations! I cannot recommend A Star driving school enough, excellent value for money. There is a focus on the safety and skills needed to become a competent road user. With such a great service I passed first time!!

Philip was an amazing and supportive instructor who really encourages you to do well. Very clear instructions and doesn’t push you to do more than what you’re capable of or feel comfortable doing. I would highly recommend Philip!
