Over 8 months waiting… was told I’ve been discharged…? Discharged from what? Nothing was even started. Poor communication and no emotional intelligence whatsoever. Did I just waste my time talking to you lot for you to say you’ll be in contact to then contact you guys and find out I’m discharged? Discharged from WHAT?We will see if they bother to contact me as promised.

My counsellor Kathleen was extremely good and helped me so much I can’t even put it into words. I started with really bad mental health, anxiety and depression and low self esteem. By the time I finished counselling I had a new positive outlook on life, felt more excited about life and I have a new found confidence. Kathleen also gave me the skills to be able to manage my thoughts and emotions so that I feel confident that I can handle difficult situations in the future. She helped me to find the root of all my issues, and made me realise how I am keeping my problems going by the way I think and act. She then gave me loads of new skills and strategies to challenge the way I think and to see how past experiences have effected me. She has helped to build my confidence so much and shared so many useful resources. I couldn’t be more thankful for the counselling experience I have received!

Excellent service with an excellent councillor. I had 5 one hour telephone/video consultations. At first I wasn't sure what to expect and wasn't sure how much help these sessions would be.In the event I found the whole process very easy to access and use.My councilor (Yebanji) was excellent. Great listening skills and was able to use what I told her to provide advice and information that was specific to me.She taught me some new coping tools that I did use and found useful.I made such progress that I felt I didn't need my final session!I would 100 % recommend this service and - specifically - my councilor.

The counselling I received at St Martin's was helpful and no-nonsense. It was delivered by a friendly, competent counsellor and was delivered within safe and friendly boundaries. There was certainly no psycho-babble or attempts to confuse you with terminology. They are strict about you paying ahead of time, but always delivered what they said they would. I'd use them again.

I gave this place the benefit of the doubt despite seeing all the bad reviews, but they were awful, a huge lack of understanding around mental health and poor communication skills

This is a fantastic service. I genuinely feared that I would not engage a I am not usually comfortable talking about my own feelings, emotions and thoughts. My therapist banished these fears within minutes and the 6 weeks I attended helped me over some hard times. The whole experience was both cathartic and cleansing and I felt better after each appointment. I could not wish or ask for any more.

Really not happy with the service so far. Was asked to fill out a assessment form in august. Then was told it’s a 6 to 8 week wait to be seen by a therapist. Now going into November and haven’t been contacted. I’ve reach out multiple times and just been told they past me over to the team. They shouldn’t give a time period if they cannot stick to it. As dealing with mental health this is extremely unprofessional in my opinion.

Absolutely shocking service. Recommended by Birmingham Healthy Minds after GP referral then told counselling would not be free. I was supposed to be on the waiting list since February, then a pandemic came. 18 weeks later after emailing them 3 times, there has been no reply from these people. Unbelievable that they can treat people in crisis this way!
