Mill House Animal Sanctuary

Registered our interest in rehoming,never got any form of acknowledgement, and to this day still nothing. You try to give a rescue dog a good forever home and ...nothing! I have been elsewhere and adopted.

If i could give zero stars i would. Absolutely ridiculous place, my best friend rescued a dog from this place. They would not give any history about the dog other than the previous owners did not have time for him. They forced the dog upon them saying they could not reserve him and she could not do multiple visits to get to know the dog. She brought the dog home and it just went from bad to worse, resulting in the dog biting several people. This has been the most traumatic experience for my friend and her daughter as he was their first dog. This place should be shut down! The dogs are kept in tiny cages sometimes multiple dogs and it's not clean at all, we should've known at that point! Avoid!

***proceed with caution**We had been walking for Mill house for most weekends. We then had seen a dog we thought was perfect fit for our family Arranged to meet the dog to adopt via a phone call with Pat the owner on Friday, set up a meeting for the Sunday.We repeatedly asked Pat is he ok with children, yes was always the answer, he's great, plays with our grandchildren.This Sunday as planned we look our kids to meet him, a 3 hours round trip across town as planned. When we turned up the lady told us he's not suitable for kids and not up for adoption as his not ready and bites!!!!! left with 3 very upset children.Today, less then 24hrs later, I see he's been adopted and my posts deleted and I'm blocked from comments, feeling very let down and lied to by Mill house. If you read this proceed with caution, and don't trust them.good luck to the dog in their care but am afraid we will not be going back.

A good service from well intentioned people. My friend and I picked up Mia who had been well looked after and provided with shelter and cat food. The very helpful gentleman even provided a cat basket for us. If you want an animal to care for and look after for life, this is a good place for you.

Millhouses farm animal sanctuary is a very good caring place. Mia the cat I adopted was well fed and comfortable. She responds to attention and I believe Kelly talked to her and made a fuss of her. They even donated a cat carrier as my friend accidently left ours on the bus.

Lovely and clean, all animals are well taken care of. heartbreaking seeing so many pets that need home's. The team really do a brilliant job. Thank you for the wonderful work you all do.

A fantastic place doing great work. Have walked a couple of dogs from here. They were both lovely and looked so well cared for and happy to be with strangers.
