My husband always bought lots from this shop so therefore spent lots of money over the years. But due to appealing manners treating him like an ignorant man with full blown covid he found very intimidated by attitude to go into the shop with all good intention to buy something. Vowing never to return to the shop again. Customer service below zero

Haven't been to Hunstanton for about 15 years, but was great to be back. Plenty of independent shops and purchased fake cigarettes and a rubber poo from the joke shop. But better still was seeing a surviving seaside model shop in a prime high street location.Plenty of stock and different things for everyone, my purchase was a 1/72 tank kitGood to see a sensible attitude to Covid, not really such an impediment to browsing and buying!!

It's an interesting shop with a wide range of items. It's a bit narrow in places, not disability friendly. Our experience: On the way out there's a blank white wooden stick. I think it had writing on it once, but to my eyes it is not legible. I've never encountered a stick blocking my exit from a shop and took the initiative to move it with mine own bare hands.Beware of this stick, as a customer you must know your place and stand behind it until released by the manager. Any attempt to exit on your own free will result in immediate huffery. The reaction to me from the clerk was as if he had just caught me in bed with his partner and was hounded from the shop.My feedback to the clerk: make sure the writing on that stick is clear. If there's a good reason for having it in place (I'm guessing traffic management) or a more effective barrier, I don't think reasonable people will have a problem waiting. You also have a lot of disappointing reviews on Google. Most of them say the same thing (customer service) which looks really poor and you need to consider your replys to them, dude. If I'd read these before my visit I wouldn't have come in. It is making you look conceited, confrontational and unwelcoming.Model makers are routing for you and places like yours to soldier on. But you know, clapping back in the comments, obviously not learning from what your base are telling you and still having a bad attitude in person as of this week - when's it all going to end?I'm not looking forward to my next visit. But I think if Gordon Ramsey done Kitchen Nightmares in model shops this would make great TV.

Visited this so called model shop a few days ago very poorly stocked door was locked had to wait to be opened the moment I walked in with my partner we got moaned at wasn't allowed to touch any of the models on display. On way out of store got shouted at for lifting the barrier up that he had in the shop, felt like he was constantly being watched felt like he didn't want us in his shop a very bad experience if doesn't want people in is shop he shouldn't bother having one. One miserable old git

I have been in many model shops over the years and all of them have had their quirks. I've had cats jump out at me and boxes fall on my head, although neither happened to me here. Yes, the numerous signs advising customers not to touch are a bit much, but on the whole I found it to be a well-stocked shop with a bit of everything. Prices are fair, variety is good and there are some genuinely interesting or scarce items for sale. I found the owner perfectly pleasant and am glad to have had the opportunity to visit.

Came in as I saw a car in the window I wanted to purchase. I however didn’t as there were rude and passive aggressive signs everywhere. On the way out said thank you and got ignored. A very strange stick with a sign on it that says exit. You have to wait for the owner to lift up to let you out. Very unwelcoming man and a very strange shop.

Remarkable. Aggressive and rude shop keeper.Thought I might pick up some track or inspiration for my own model railway, but the attitude of the shop keeper as soon as we walked in made it clear he finds customers nothing more than an irritation.A family came in while we were there and he welcomed them with, what children don't understand is that these are not toys to be played with" - needless to say said family turned around and walked straight out.And also needless to say

Reading the most recent reviews I'm surprised this shop even still exists! The owners using covid as a excuse for the poor customer service I visited this shop before covid and the customer service was shocking! The gentleman who served me made me feel most unwelcome to be in his shop and I only asked a question as I was building a model railway with my son I quickly brought what I needed and will never go back! Shame it's not a more welcoming shop tho as my kids love looking at the models in the window next to the rude and abrupt signage on the door!
