DUNDEE CITY TAXIS

The driver was lovely however.. Booked my taxi an hour in advance, it turned up late meaning I missed my train. I had allowed at least 12 minutes of extra time in case they were a little late.

Absolute scumbags gave me a price when I booked a taxi for a 15 mile drive, got told £36 which is ridiculous but i was desperate.i was trying to get to a very ill relative. Then the taxi comes I get in and as we leave my home he starts asking about how much money I had on me, I told him I'm paying by card like I had said when booking.He started cash is king, I take u to the bank! I said no were not passing any cash points. Im paying card then he said how much were u told, I said £36, He went no atleast £45 I said no I will give u £40 tops. He agreed. I had also booked a return trip next day and 5 mins before there due to be here. They phone and said if you want a taxi you will pay about £50/£60!I said no u can't tell me a set price, then phone me when your meant to be here in 5 mins and say they want more money or no taxi. I'd rather walk thanksAbsolute cowboysWill never use again

Would have rated 0 if it was an option, used twice in a day to try something different- late on both occasions with poor customer service. 2nd call taxi was booked an hour in advance- no show and a missed train. Call one of the other many services available in dundee if you need to be on time.

Great service and a quick and easy to book and they updated me ony taxi location and ETA love this and driver was friendly and polite

Booked a taxi with this company last Friday night after being at the football. We were told that the taxi had arrived, but no sign of it in the agreed meeting place. I called the driver who was courteous and told him where we were, he said he was round the corner and would pick us up. 10 minutes later, no sign. I called again but got through to the main office who said that there was no booking on file even though I had spoken to the driver and had text confirmation. The weather was atrocious on the night and we ended up walking over 30 minutes with an 8 year old in torrential conditions. I think someone jumped in our taxi and they didn't have the professionalism to tell us as a fare is a fare.

Worst services I have ever seen.. never come in time though it's a pre booked..I have many times missed my scheduled appointments just coz of them.Was thinking it could be just one time that they missed but no, it's always the same.I am never gonna take this service again.It will be revolving around driver, customer service and the management, finally no one will take the responsibility and we are the ones baring loss.Don't recommend at all.

Ordered a taxi for a specific time online hours in advance. Wasn’t assigned a driver until 5 minutes after the pick up time, then said driver never showed, was then back in the ‘assign a driver’ phase more than 15 minutes after the booking time. Then called up the company to be hung up on. Ended up phoning a different company who arrived promptly. Do not use.

Fast and efficient but unfortunately a few times I have been lied to about taxi availability depending on where I have requested to go.If I phone and request a taxi to the hospital or OOH Clinic I am told there are no taxis available. However, if I call again directly after and request a taxi to the street in which the clinic is on suddenly there are. Disappointing, but I do understand that some drivers are uncomfortable with the idea of driving a sick person just wish they'd be straight up with me and not lie.

Our recent experience with Dundee Taxi was a tale of two interactions. Our driver was the shining star of our trip, demonstrating an exemplary level of professionalism and friendliness. His willingness to engage in pleasant conversation and ensure a comfortable ride is worthy of applause. We were truly impressed with his conduct and approach to service.Unfortunately, our interaction with the taxi operator was far from satisfactory. As we found ourselves in need of a larger vehicle, we called to adjust our booking. The operator on the line demonstrated a significant lack of courtesy and professionalism. Mid-conversation, while we were attempting to explain our situation, the operator abruptly ended the call, stating that there were no larger taxis available. A simple, polite explanation would have sufficed, rather than an abrupt hang-up which left us feeling undervalued and frustrated.While we appreciate the service provided by the driver, the operator's conduct was a major letdown. This experience has left us with mixed feelings about Dundee Taxi. We strongly urge management to improve their customer service training and ensure all team members represent the company in the best light.
