Highly recommend this place for a ladies cut. I have been several times now and they have always been super friendly. What attracted me initially was the Aveda products in the window - which they use to wash my hair with - but also the quality of the cuts I've had has been great. The Turkish lady with blonde wavy hair has always been my hairdresser and she does a great job! Also very relaxed and friendly. I only ever ask for wash and cut (no blow dry as it costs extra) but every time I've been without fail she has not just rough dried my hair but had me leaving with a bouncy blowout! To top it off, this morning I was served a top notch cup of tea (and I'm picky!). I believe the costs went up slightly last year but £40 for a wash, cut and bonus blow-dry is excellent value for Maida Vale. Remember its cash only but there's a cashpoint next door. I have had a terrible experience at this salon twice now and won't be going back. When I explained to the owner (Figen?) that last time my hair dropped quite quickly as it is very heavy, and please can she do something different this time, like using rollers instead of just a brush, she was extremely aggressive and rude. She said that if she uses rollers my hair will drop even more, and that she is a professional hairdresser and knows best. She shouted and screamed at me (knowing I am 7 months pregnant!) and refused to blow dry my hair as I will not be happy" with whatever she does. She also yanked my hair the first time and hurt me

The best hairdressers in the town!!! I have been really lucky to be one of the first customers that entered the salon when first open after many unsuccessful attempts in trying to find a good hairdresser. I don't normally trust places after bad experiences however as this was very decent and lovely looking saloon I decided to try. I have not been disappointed, in fact I will never go anywhere else, they are seriously the best! My hair are in the best condition ever (thanks to Anthony:)) and I feel like at home there. Always so friendly and so accommodating. Also so flexible and understanding. From color, haircut to having special requests ( had couple of formal balls to attend) they have been outstanding, and me just being complemented so very happy ;) I have recommended this place to couple of my friends and they love it as much as I do. I would highly recommend to try as you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much to All at the saloon, seriously love you guys :)

I almost rarely write reviews online, but I feel like the reviews for this hair salon do it no justice. I go here every 4 or so months to cut my hair and they always do a great job. Although you can only pay in cash, the prices are very reasonable for a wash/cut/dry for living in London. Anthony and the others are also very fast when cutting my hair which I appreciate. You won't see me at any other salon in London!

I was really disappointed with my experience here.I found the staff pretty unprofessional, for example:- whilst the main stylist has decent English, but the other shave a pretty low level of English and so can't understand what you're saying- my stylist (Figen) didn't explain properly how the colouring process was going to work and also wasn't clear on the price, so I ended up with a colour I didn't want, and also paying more than she initially stated- my stylist was doing multiple people's hair at the same time, so I was often just 'left' waiting unnecessarily- they only accept cash payments (?!)- there is a large black skull displayed where customers get their hair washed (which is a bit off-puttingAfraid I won't be returning.

I love this salon. Jess does my shellac mani pedi and it lasts me at least 3 weeks! She is so meticulous and friendly. I have also had a few facials with DOA and its made such a difference to my skin! I go to the salon every two weeks without fail! Highly recommend :)

I had a normal manicure with normal polish. The woman was nice but a bit patronising. She removed my existing nail varnish, filed and buffed my nails, applied cuticle oil and then soaked my hands in water. She then helped me choose a colour and applied this on top of a base coat, and then added a top coat. My nails were dried using a nail dryer. There was not a wide range of colours to choose from, mostly reds and pinks. The top coat was applied in a rush meaning that it did not cover the whole nail. When I noticed a chip, the woman blamed me for touching something but I think this was caused by applying the top coat too quickly. I probably would not visit this salon again for a manicure. The salon was downstairs of a hair salon and seemed clean and tidy. *Edit* Changing my review from 3 star to 1 star because my nail chipped in less than 12 hours! And all the varnish came off another nail the next day! Very disappointed.
