Highly recommend this treasure hunt with a difference. There are 132 painted wild cats hidden around the village to find, each with a different name and decoration. We had brilliant fun hunting for them all, loads of walking without the kids moaning. Worth a holiday to Newtonmore for this alone!

There are no wild cats but there are some delightful people willing to talk to you about wildcats. Also the duck food was a hit.

It's awesome fun - may have taken a few trips to find the very last ones, but brilliant inclusive family fun from the start. Highly highly recommend doing this

This is where the journey of discovery starts. Very friendly staff on hand to explain the Wildcat search adventure. The office is small but at the same time big enough. They have different items on sale related to the Wildcats (sticker, caps fridge magnets and other trinkets). After finding 111 out of 132+ wildcats the kids were awarded a certificate with a gold sticker and couldn't be happier. What a great way to get the kids excited about taking walks and discovering parts of Newtonmore that we otherwise wouldn't have gone to see.

It's a shame there is not anywhere to buy the cat books on a Sunday. The centre is shut on Sundays but it's a shame the B&Bs don't sell them to their clients.Anyway we walked 8km of the trail past the river and waterfalls. Some beautiful scenery and photo opportunities. We saw many of the cats on our walk.
