Absolutely amazing place to have your hair done! Lou is such a pleasure to chat with, very easygoing, interesting and caring person. I enjoyed every minute I was there and already booked myself for my next session :) They use vegan products btw. Best place in York, highly recommended, just give it a try if you haven't already.

First appointment at the lounge and magic I got what I asked for. Very welcoming, and so polite. Love lou she is amazing at her job and an amazing lady, I will 100% be going there from now on, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants what they ask for.

Lovely gorgeous salon, amazing atmosphere staff are absolutely lovely and the products are lush, even more so that they are vegan!But not the salon to go to if you are wanting an ombre! Difficult technique and the stylist was very nervous and even more so when correcting it, the correction wasn't much better and have subsequently had to have a full head revamp else where to fix it extremely upset as was hoping this could be my new spot for all my treatments. The other treatments they offer do look incredible! Gutted.

I have a phobia of hairdressers and went to the Lounge after a terrible haircut elsewhere. Lou was amazing, put me at my ease and did a great fix job in minutes. For the first time in years I have the confidence to book an appointment somewhere in advance. Would highly recommend to everyone.

I had the most wonderful Experience, I got recommended to visit by a friend and I will never use another salon in York, not just a haircut but a whole experience, Lou gave me confidence I have been missing for years, a truly wonderful human being and such comfy cosy Experiance, highly recommend to anyone! Lou even told me about an offer they had on to save me money which I was unaware of! And she didn’t have to!

I had a hair cut and balayage here a few days ago and couldn’t have been happier with the result! It’s a cozy little salon with really friendly staff which created a lovely atmosphere, and for a very fair price. I won’t be going anywhere else to get my hair done from now on. 5 stars and a few typed sentences doesn't do this place justice! Was recommended by a friend and am now a customer as long as I live in York after just one visit. I had built a bit of a phobia of hairdressers not listening to me and dismissing my ideas (going for 'safe' options), but that was far from my experience here. I was warmly welcomed, shown genuine interest, encouraged to show photos and my preferences were noted immediately. We seemed to work together on an idea which was refreshing. They knew what I wanted, that I was slightly anxious and had low confidence about my looks....but not after this haircut! It was nice chatting too, almost like to a longstanding friend than someone you've just met in a salon! Putting wigs on little Buddy just made the quirky experience even more fun! Thank you again for giving me some of my confidence and edge" back. I'll see you in 6 - 8 weeks!"

Kate gave me a complete hair restyle this afternoon and I am so happy. All the staff are lovely and I felt very welcome, plus the products they use smell amazing on your hair! I'll be back next time I need a haircut!
