Called on the way home after holiday in North Wales. Food was excellent. A lovely garden centre too. Sat outside but had to go inside because of too many wasps, time of year i suppose. Will definitely revisit.

Stopped off for something to eat and a drink. The cafe was really busy and took a little time getting served and then having to wait for our coffee and cake to be brought to the table. I guess it’s all about timing, well it was a bit close to dinner time but don’t let that put you off.If your a regular you know the routine. If like us this was your first visit then I would suggest you first find a table and examine the menu (there were none at the counter). Make a note of your table number and leave one of your party or a coat there.Join the queue and order. If like us it was only going to be a coffee and cake your order is still processed in strict order along with those going to the kitchen, so prepare to wait for it to be prepared and delivered to you table. In all honesty queuing n waiting wasn’t an issue and gave us time to talk and do some people watching. The staff, and there were lots of them continuously clearing tables, delving orders and many more little jobs were AMAZING. All those we interacted with were polite, friendly and considering how busy it was, cheerful. The menu I thought could have have had a bit more variety but then I don’t know the limitations of the kitchen or the added impact on service. In conclusion, I think it’s just right and will definitely visit again. The garden centre and shops were well stocked and much was under cover. Unfortunately we didn’t have the time to explore fully.Next time we are in the area we will definitely visit again and spend more time here.

This is a lovely garden centre! The garden centre itself was very quiet when I visited, just myself and a couple of other customers were wondering around. There seems to be a good choice of plants and flowers to purchase here, and it's a shame that I am a visit to the area because I could do with a garden centre like this near me.The car park was almost full when I arrived (at 10.30am on a Friday) and the vast majority of car owners were in the coffee shop. So I can see that customers would find it almost impossible to find a parking space around the lunch period on any day. So if you're going to visit, you might find it easier to visit earlier or later in the day and avoid the lunch period.Cost me £8.90 for one coffee and a slice of cake, but they were both delicious. When entering the coffee shop, bag yourself a table first and then note the table number before placing your order. Otherwise you'll need to do this and you'll lose your place in the queue.Well worth a visit if you are in the area, even if just for a coffee.

Great garden centre. The cafe has plenty of options available including milk alternatives. Sitting outside in the cafe you see small birds ducking in and out of the shrubs.

Okells is unique & fab. I loved it. Hadn't been before, & a friend suggested we meet there for coffee & cake. We ate lunch, & it was gorgeous. And we bought takeaway cake. Then we had a walk around.Okells is a brilliant venue for plants, coffee, cake, lunch, gifts, books, & greetings cards. It is different from other garden centres, in that the gifts/books are unique. You won't find the usual. You will find very nice new2you gifts. There is plenty of parking & the staff are lovely. In all, it was a complete pleasure to spend a couple of hours there. I will definitely go back.
