Forge Dam Park
Good walk for me from Wiremill dam to Forge Dam with my grandson, small amount of parking at Wiremill. At the cafe plenty of seating inside and out, food is good but wasn't impressed with the vegetarian sausage roll. The dam itself is a place to sit and feed the ducks. There is also an excellent playground for younger children.

Forge Dam Park
We live local so are lucky enough to walk down to Forge Dam. The play area is fenced off, so safe, and is great for little ones and older children. Good range of play equipment. Very clean and tidy. The cafe here is really good but can get very busy but there is a large number of tables and chairs or you could sit on the grassy area if dry. Good choice menu and the ice creams are Fab!! Great area for walks too.

Forge Dam Park
You can pretty much walk out of Sheffield to the south west via a series of parks, one of these being around the Forge Dam, which has recently been dredged and cleaned up. Near the dam is the ubiquitous cafe which gets very busy at weekends but does a good range of food and drink.

Forge Dam Park
The park has a few paths to go for a stroll and is dog friendly even selling dog ice cream in the cafe. Location is slightly out of the way and parking is tight but well worth it if you're nearby as the atmosphere surrounding the cafe building is very calming. There's a nice short waterfall and a large duck pond. I would definitely recommend it.

If you are local it is a great place to bring your children, take your dog for a walk, go jogging, walking, or just sit and enjoy. It feels safe and friendly.

Beautiful place to walk! So scenic, has a stream that runs right the way through that you can most certainly have a paddle in! Lovely little cafe to have a little snack and a rest, too. Small park for children to have a play on also :) Perfect!

Forge Dam Park
This is a great little body of water with a cafe, playground, benches and ducks if you're lucky. The ducks are basically guaranteed to be there though. It sits in the porter valley which means you can walk/run/cycle from there to Sheffield city center or to the peak district. It has public toilets and is a favourite for dog walkers. I personally drive there for the cafe and then take a short stroll.
