Without a doubt the best pizza we've had in the UK! Light and fluffy dough, with an amazing texture, and the toppings were excellent. We had great service from Bert and his team, and we will defintely be back soon!

We ate at The Boxford last week. Admittedly, we had high expectations due to our experiences at the Woodspeen. The entrance was a little confusing due to the bar area being busy and us not spotting the Maitre D' desk beyond it (our fault). Aesthetically, the restaurant is beautiful and had a lovely atmosphere for a mid week eat! Our waitress lacked confidence and was not overly proactive (hopefully teething issues). We were spoken to a couple of times by another member of staff whose approach was much better :). We had a mixed review of the food - the squid was great, the arancini was unfortunately overcooked and underseasoned for our tastes. My main, a mushroom tagliatelle, was sadly dry and underwhelming. However, my partner's carbonarra was the best I've tasted in a while!! I absolutely acknowledge that this is a brand new restaurant but still expected a little more consistency. We cancelled our upcoming reservation and will give The Boxford a little longer to find their feet before returning :)

Finally a proper Napoli / Neapolitan pizza place! If you like your pizza heavy, doughy and sitting in your stomach for a few days, this place is not for you. 72 hr proof for the dough means it is lighter and better for the gut. Less is more is what Italians go by, but they do have an extensive pizza topping menu, the tomato sauce is packed with flavour and generous melty mozzarella. The Carbonara is made richer with guanciale - definitely a luxurious treat. They also serve delicious smoothies from scratch. A big draw is the very reasonable Children's Menu - all made fresh on site and a very playful dessert selection that grown ups will want to share. Definitely planning our next visit already as so many more dishes to try!

It’s really worth a visit to The Boxford .. From the moment you walk in there is a warm and welcoming smile from the staff… We ordered Pizza’s and they were delicious ! I had coffee and Crème Brûlée which was gorgeous … Table service was quick, friendly & knowledgable.. I’ve booked a return visit … Steffie

Our first visit on a busy Friday night. The place was full, with a lovely atmosphere, plenty of friendly staff, and attentive service.As someone who is (like most of us) continually in search of amazing pizza. We were not disappointed. Probably top 5 I have ever had.We also enjoyed the calamari, burrata, and bread to start.Plus, a stunning venue, especially if you remember the previous Bell at Boxford pub.I’ve read other reviews talking about teething problems. It looked to me that these have been addressed.Will be going again soon I hope

One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten, and I am Italian! The long fermentation makes the dough light and full of flavour. And it was cooked to perfection. Every topping is a top quality ingredient and carefully prepared. I saw the chef putting a lot of care and attention in the final touches, and it arrived perfectly hot. The restaurant is incredibly beautiful, with a luxurious yet relaxed feel. The service is very friendly and attentive. The drinks are also expertly selected. Thank you team, we'll be back!

Incredible! Would recommend to all! Took my family there for dinner yesterday, we have 3 boys (7,6,4 years old). Our first impression was how great the place looked, very open and modern. The staff were attentive and friendly - especially Theo who made sure our 4 year old was happy and comfortable. The menu looked amazing and we could see through the kitchen, including the incredible pizza oven, from our table. The drinks were delicious and varied and arrived quickly after ordering. We had pizza and pasta and the flavours were insane! The pasta was so delicious and the pizza was perfect (the dough was so flavoursome!) The kids menu was varied and delicious, something for all the kids. One of the best parts for the boys was the ice cream, which arrived with a bowl of marshmallows, sprinkles, chocolate curls and several sauces to decorate their own ice creams!!! The cost was extremely reasonable, the service was amazing and the food was incredible. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful experience, would definitely recommend to anyone from a date night to family meal out.

Lovely dinner last night at the newly opened The Boxford. Beautiful, smart looking and energetic young team, very friendly, efficient and relaxed service, which is much appreciated as great food doesn't need stuffiness. Families and conviviality much welcomed, which is a nice change from The Woodspeen. Some other diners unfortunately too serious.The food reflects Italian generosity -- portions big enough for sharing around and full on flavour. The croutons on the Caesar Salad may need to be changed for smaller cubes and white bread....loved the dressing though. The pizzas ARE out of this world, your tastebuds transported to Italy. Loved the Pork Milanese and children's menu that are all freshly made and not a chicken nugget in sight. The cheeseburger can easily feed two people...or one hungry teenager.Extensive drinks menu -- wines, beers, spirits -- we went for Cocktails and smoothies and they were delicious! Worth going for just Friday evening drinks.Cannot wait for our next visit.

Lovely new restaurant, very reasonable prices given the quality of the food and interiors! The staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, a really relaxed but high quality evening. Lovely to have this in the area!
