Asked for a beer, barmaid recommended a bottle of Brazilian Lager. Charged me £10, I said to her £10 for a bottle of lager was expensive, and she should have told me the price before opening, she told me it wasn’t expensive. Then continued to argue that I should have read a menu. I put the full bottle of lager down and walked out. A complete con

Wonderful local bar that really brightens up what was a dingy and quite frankly scary area at night. This wonderful,welcoming and friendly place is a huge asset to our local community, and, as a near neighbour, I really hope it stays and grows in success. Highly recommended.

Carioca brings the Brazilian culture in your town, Tasty and delicious food, good looking plates on your table ,music and good vibes all from Brazil. If you want to taste a bit from all of this they will open the door for you with a big smile. Such a lovely people.

If I can rate -0 I would have as we waited 2hours to get food we ordered mixed grill and was given steak which they charged more! Also the place is dirty especially the toilet is over flooded when flashed. One of the worst places to eat in Portsmouth.

I love this place.Amazing atmosphere! Good food, tasty and good variety.I love the tasty of their Brazilian food, Monica is amazing, very keen to accomodate my extra request without any problem.The atmosphere is great, they have live music on Saturday evenings along with Cocktails and drinks. I love their Caipirinha Cocktails!!!I been to Carioca bar many times and will keep coming back for more.Highly recommended!!

Loads of stuff that I've never heard of..... Really like to enjoy new things.The meat was cooked to perfection..... Exotic drinks and sides. A real treat with a lovely informative lady owner.Authentic Brazilian food..... Much more than casa Brazil, which is also very good.

Lovely authentic Brazilian place, lovely food, great atmosphere, they also do lively music on weekends. i will definitely recommend.
