My son has autism and we sent him to Matt Zina's drama classes as he loves acting. Matt was made aware from the outset of his special needs. Firstly, the classes are most often taught not by Matt but by a rotating group of teenagers that have little acting experience and no teaching skills whatsoever. When Matt did teach lessons, he was increasingly impatient with my son, he does not know how to manage children and get the best out of them. After a few months, Matt informed us by email, not even a phone call or face to face, that our son was no longer welcome at the school. If Matt had taken the time to read through my son's EHCP and medical diagnosis notes which were offered to him and which he refused, he would have known from the outset what his needs were and how to integrate him into the class. My son was absolutely devasted, and still is. After spending hundreds of pounds on headshots and a showreel at Matt's little folly, we have now found a much better acting school, which opens its arms to all children and is run by professional, working actors. There is a reason Matt runs this school and isn't cast in roles - he isn't very good.

My daughter attends these classes and she loves them. The teaching staff are amazing and we find the service provides excellent value for money as it caters for everyone’s needs. Highly recommended

I have been involved with professional entertainment for the past 31 years and I am now exploring the acting side of the industry. I have been working with Matt Zina Acting for the past 18 months and I have found it to be a honest straight to the point introduction to this business. The lessons are more than being in a class, you are part of a community. Matt Zina gets you to understand where you fit in and pushes you to step out of your comfort zone and stretch your abilities. Matt has amazing experience and knowledge regarding mindset, acting and life in general! As my mentor he’s helped me make huge progress in my acting and personal life. My daughter attends the York MZA class and absolutely loves it. Having positive mindset is advocated throughout the training and I really think this has helped her to grow in confidence. When auditions come through she has expert support and assistance from the team. The extra content with tips tutorials and guest speakers is great and really makes the end dream seem achievable through perseverance and hard work! All skills that will help her in any context I’m sure. Matt is great, really hands on and approachable, and again has supported her development throughout. I can’t recommend enough!

Matt Zinas acting school is very professional and everyone has good communication with one another and support each other. I am a learning disabled actor there working in tv and film industry and they help and support me whenever i need it. They also help with our mindset. Matt and the crew also understands my learning disabilities and learning difficultys, which is brilliant. So its a 5 star from me and i recommened matt zinas acting school to everyone else out there who woulld like to take acting up .Natascha
