Left enquiry on Checkatrade and received a call from Billy almost immediately. Got a price to remove moss from bungalow roof and coat with preservative. He advised that they were available to do the work first thing the next morning.Billy instantly responded to questions regarding job, and kept me informed of work being done. Work now complete in very quick time and roof tiles are looking great.Would highly recommend.

I don't like to give negative reviews but not many companies are capable to cause this massive damage to my property so quickly.Last summer we noticed the roof leaking so decided to get a new roof. This company quoted a new roof but the materiel never arrived so after a month's wait they offered me a roof coating for much cheaper than the complete roof replacement. I'm not a roofing expert so accepted this offer.On the roof coating day, the weather was not perfect, it was windy.I was busy working on that day so left it with them this work. Only one thing I noticed, as they finished in 15 minutes. If you pay a few thousand pounds for a roof coating you expect some proper work, for example masking around the corners. Don't paint everything around the house. I was very busy on that day so I had no chance to check it properly but next day I noticed paint everywhere. These guys painted all my windows frames, the polycarbonate patio roof, the white stones in my rockery, the wall itself. My brand new front door is also covered with black paint spots. I sent up my drone to check this roof coating from closer and I was surprised as my solar panel aluminium frames were also painted black. However, they left half the roof unpainted under the solar panels. They were walking on the top of the roof on the L shape panel and left massive dents everywhere. One year later we are still working on cleaning the paint marks from the windows frames and the polycarbonate roof. If they properly mask before the painting or not try to finish this job in 15 minutes period it would not be this problem now. But this way it was a cowboy job. By the way, the roof still leaking but I definitely don't call these guys back again for any kind of work.

We used this company for moss removal on our bungalow and garage roof, then it was sealed..what a difference! The roof tiles are now spotless and a beautiful colour. We have also had our bungalows render cleaned by this company, which has improved the outside so much. Finally, they cleaned our drive block paving and treated it with anti fungal to keep it looking good for longer, also our garden wall cleaned and coping stones, amazed at the results, my front door outside steps look like new.. Huge Thank You to Billy, very professional, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both Billy and Barry for great results, also with great courtesy and timely work carried out. Great work by Billy and Barry. Cleaned about 30 years of moss and muck off my roof and colour coated it. Looks like a new roof! So pleased with the result. Very professional. Worked so hard with hardly a break. Respectful of me and my property and cleaned everything up including even in neighbouring properties. There was so much muck that came off I couldn’t believe how clean and tidy my driveway patio conservatory roof and walls were left. Turned up bang on time. Fantastic response and a professional and excellent service.I get so used to waiting weeks for contractors to turn up just to look at a job, so I still can't quite believe the response time - the job is completed within a week of me first contacting B. Varey & Son to get a quote. Superb workmanship, they took care to clear everything up afterwards and were friendly and approachable throughout - no mansplaining!!I'd highly recommend them and will ask them first any time we need exterior work to the building. I had Billy come out to give me a quote for a roof repair and liked and trusted him immediately. I couldn’t use Billy initially however as my surveyors who were contributing had wanted to send someone they recommended. Unfortunately the people sent were real cowboys it was just awful! I had to make them leave! I then took matters into my own hands and rang Billy who came out the next day! He repaired my roof at a very fair price and recommended he could treat and coat it to help prolong its life and just look better. I asked Billy to undertake the works and I am absolutely thrilled with the result! My roof looks like new! Bill Varey and Son are absolute professionals and I highly recommend them. I am a women on my own and Billy was lovely and fair which isn’t always the case for a women on her own, I trust him totally! Also he left my outside spotless! called billy for a quote to clean my roof he came over when he said he would. came back the next day 8am cleaned and re pointed and treated the roof first class job done.asked him to quote on cleaning all outside walls of house and driveway back 8am next day again first class job done.and got the dry verge done the next day another first class job.billy works hard turns up when he says he will stays to the jobs complete cleans up after.very polite i would not hesitate to recommend him.i will have no hesitation to phone againfirst class servicethanks billy
