Absolute corker of what I'd call a 'Proper' pub.Sawdust on the floor, dark, old school kind of feel. A place with proper regulars. People crammed in, 3 deep at the bar and a great selection of beer and cider.Cheapest pint in Bristol still. Landlord Robert is an absolute laugh too.Great place. Great atmosphere.I'll be back next time I'm in Bristol

Not eaten here, however excellent atmosphere and music to suit us older people. Very busy for Wednesday afternoon, however I can understand this. Merlot Red is very good ! Will come again

Lovely cheap and cheerful pub. Only food available was rolls.Bit dearfor roll same price as apint .very polite bar staff. Would recommend a visit

The mardyke. Well Great pub great atmosphere good range of beers at reasonable prices. Full of locals with stories to tell. If you are passing pop in. It's been here for an eternity and am sure will outlast another generation.Robert the owner is as quirky as the pub great guy, always a warm welcome.Staff are great.You have to visit this pub if you are in hotwells.

There seems little point in reviewing The Mardyke as I doubt any of the clientele are old enough to read!Noisy, boisterous and probably doing sterling service by keeping the pubescent oiks out of the surrounding pubs.

Cheapest drinks in Bristol, but quality drinks eg Bierra Moretti pint and Barcardi with diet coke for £6.30. Went to next pub and same drinks cost £12.70

Excellent pub, not only are the pints cheap but the jukebox is an excellent addition to the atmosphere of the pub. Can get rowdy at times, but I've noticed more young people recently
