Brilliant. The place is very nice and cozy, in a great spot in the park. The owners are very helpful and solved problems even when we called them late at night. All the facilities are clean and tidy, and the cabins themselves are gorgeus.VFM- 10/10

Wish we could have stayed longer, can't recommend highly enough! Beautiful setting, pods and amenities were in perfect condition, very clean, host was so kind and delivered us a delicious breakfast as promised. Even managed to find some tasteful handmade gifts from the office, as well as some great travel tips.

Unbelievable views of the Cairngorms right outside the glamping pod. Many hikes to take without driving or within a short drive. Great, knowledgeable hosts with lots of directions provided for local hikes.

Incredible birthday experience. Magical autumn colours and Aurora lit up the night sky! This is a must! Thank you.

We were welcomed by lovely Nicole and shown to the Sheperds Hut. Everything is beautifully and thoughtfully presented. The self-made woodwork is amazing. The hut was super cosy and warm even without the log burner on. The childrens' beds were stored underneath the double and pulled out easily for use. The bedding was clean and soft. Lovely fire pit. Excellent toilet and bathroom facilities. Recycling. Safe parking. Beautiful view. Really liked the snug with handy bits for us to use and the tea shack with hobs for boiling water and tea, coffee and milk is a brilliant idea. This really is a wonderful place! Thank you Nicole and Ian.

Pretty good starter glamping experience! Drove here from Loch Ness through Cairngorms which was a lovely 2-hr drive with some dramatic scenery. Looks pretty newly built - completely sealed so real cosy inside and enough room for two even with our duffle bag & backpack plus food. The futon's quite comfortable and maybe slightly wider than a hotel double bed.The fence and power lines directly in front of the pods plus the house right behind were a bit of a buzzkill at first, a little like camping in someone's backyard, but the sound of birds chirping and the gentle flow of the river down front sort of made up for it and soon you find yourself staring at the moving clouds brushing over treetops listening to lambs baaing in the distance. Each pod has its own picnic table and firepit as well as camping chairs. Even though it's fully booked and the 4 pods are not super far apart, each pod gets its own private space so you actually barely notice other people. Loved the glass door which has blinds you can draw down for privacy. The bathroom's out of the way but not far at all with 2 very nice stalls providing almost immediate 24-hr hot water and it's incredibly clean and warm with radiators inside but remember to bring your own toiletries although towels are provided.A 10-min drive to Ballater's coop to buy food for the barbecue - add their BBQ utensils and crockery sets to order and you'll have everything you need for a wood fired dinner. There are some seasonings plus board games in addition to folders with suggested walks and activities in the the common cabin & we took a fairly pleasant hour-long walk to an abandoned house (turn left at the fork instead of right though, opposite of what the directions in the folder stated haha). No wifi or cell signal but two outlets and also lights in the pod. Could see some stars peeking out behind clouds on my late night toilet run. The breakfast set with warm crossaints plus hot drink and the tea shack were real nice touches and very much appreciated! I guess you need electricity and a house nearby for that lol

First time glamping and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The host iain was lovely and greeted us in the morning making sure we were OK. I can say that I stay in hotels regularly and thisnl topped anything iv ever done before. Wakening up in the beautiful surroundings and the sheep. I would highly recommend this to anyone!! 5* all round. Warm, comfortable, clean the hosts went above and beyond

Absolutely LOVED our stay at Howe of Torbeg. Incredible setting in the mountains and thoughtful camping accommodation with everything we needed. A great jumping off point for exploring the Cairngorms, with modern amenities available in Ballater, just down the road.

Absolutely loved our stay there. We stayed in the Shepherd's hut and one of the smaller pods and both were lovely. I would return to the Shepherd's hut though, just because it has a fire place and a table. Also, did you know flat pack Shepherd's Hut's exist! I am hunting for one of my own now.
