Walcott Stores

We're currently on holiday in Walcott and we've used this store a few times for essentials and have no complaints, yes it is a bit pricey but your paying for convenience and the location was so handy for us. Clean store, friendly staff 10/10.

Great shop well stocked friendly service I was impressed enough to give a review

I visit this well stocked store for my weekly shop. Also a Post Office and stationery, and toys. Even pet food available. The staff are very helpful at all times. Excellent service 10 out of 10.

Locally owned and run village type shop. Very well stocked, very reasonable prices for a small independent.Owners and staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Feels like how local shops should do, highly recommended

I was passing through whilst looking for a Post Office, so chose to stop here and use this one. Post office closes for lunch between 1-2, I arrived at 12:55 and pressed the button for no one to come to the counter. When asked if the Post Office had shut early for lunch, the lady at the till just looked at her watch and said something “like must of done if no ones coming to the counter”. I did have around 6 parcels to send. I suppose if I’m getting to the point, there was no apology and that’s all I was looking for...as there were other members of staff in the shop (not sure if post office counter trained). Having a Post Office comes with the responsibility of keeping it open when stated, otherwise don’t have a time table. I get it’s only 5 minutes early, but it had frustrated me and I’m sure anyone else who came specifically to use this service.

Recently used this shop whilst staying in Walcott. Really impressed, well stocked and good prices. Staff very pleasant.

How very disappointing!! We've used this well stocked shop all week ,my husband has just been in to buy more supplies and stood a listened to a conversation between a male member of staff and a male customer complaining about all the tourists saying only 5 weeks to go and they will all be gone ,and obviously more moaning about tourist ,my husband came out empty handed next time we are here for a break we will stock up so we don't have to venture into the shop.Although the shop has been busy all day with us tourists so they are happy to take our money.Its a glorious sunny day and not everyone has the luxury of a beach in their proximity why shouldn't people come and enjoy it and be happily recieved rather than disrespected

Very impressed with the variety of items the shop stocks, and their prices seem very fair, it is a half hour drive to the nearest supermarket. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

A brilliant little shop similar to the corner shops that used be run by the Asian community. Had everything including foods for vegans. Lots of of dog food for walkers. Plenty of beer cider and wines. Dairy and meat products. Lottery and post office.
