Pretty glum looking place with a very limited range of shops (TJ Hughes, One Below, Home Bargains, Bargain Land, Shoe Zone and a few others of this ilk), which I guess is OK if you like that sort of thing. I think there were only about 10 shops IN TOTAL in the centre. On the flip side, plenty of cheap parking available.

I like shopping here even though I live elsewhere . I love the charity shops, and the big name stores too. It's not over crowded in there like where I live.

Has everything needed I suppose, the cooked meat shop at the entrance by the bus station is well priced and food is ok for the price

Sad to see there are hardly any shops left here anymore, even though it's to make way for better developments, it used to be such a busy shopping centre.

The Hardshaw Centre
Gone up a star since TJ Hughes moved in a few weeks back. Use the Boots and what passes as the towns main post office these days. A number of other outlet stores and several mobile phone provider stores - the 3 one has excellent staff from our experience. It houses one of the very few free and publicly available toilets in the town centre.
