James Whitaker Hair

I've been coming here for 11/12 years, and have never left with a bad haircut. James, Donna and the whole team are masters in their craft and I can't recommend a visit highly enough.

Been going to James for more than 20 years now. Superb!

I am very disappointed with the management because when I booked my appointment James didn’t inform me of the charges, an increase of £8 . My previous hairdresser is on maternity leave but they should have informed me that the stylist charges more. I did let them know how I feel but that didn’t make any difference. They still charge me £48 for wash,cut & blow dry. Not any better than my previous hairdresser.

On Friday to do my hair for a hairstyle for a wedding anniversary the lady was very unprofessional very low experience my have a very long and happy she couldn’t do the style for me so she had to completely do something different she wasn’t very gentle with my hair she was very rough Are you can clearly see that she didn’t have any experience I wanted Hollywood wave but it looks like she gave me Indian waves which is completely different I have showed her over 10 pictures but she didn’t know anything i felt so uncomfortable . clearly had no ideas what I wanted I have showen as I said before photos She clearly didn’t know what I wanted I had to come home and remove everything that I’ve done and fix my own hair such a waste of time. Never experienced this before from other salons but this was one of the worst experience of my life

10/10 service. All the staff are really nice, really worth every penny. I love my hair so much thank you! :)

Having searched online for a local hairdresser and seeing the positive reviews for James Whitaker, I decided to give them a call. What a great decision! The salon staff are very friendly and welcoming. The salon is clean and bright and has a good atmosphere. Donna was my stylist and having shown her a picture of the style I had in mind she set to work. Half an hour or so later I had exactly the hairstyle I wanted. I will definitely be returning here for my next cut. Thank you Donna.

James has been cutting my hair for over 15 years, always got great advice on styles and products that won’t aggravate my psoriasis on my scalp. James and his team are extremely knowledgeable and professional. From someone who didn’t like getting their hair cut I now look forward to getting my haircut and trust James to give me a hairstyle that suits my type of hair and has helped control my psoriasis with product range they offer. I enjoy supporting a local business and always get great conversation’s during my appointments.

Very helpful, explained how different hair treatments are done and what would achieve desired effect. Reviewed hair and fed back on issues from previous hairdress and what would suggest to rectify. Put me at ease and really helped understanding everything properly and being spoken to directly.
