Royal Oak Beefeater
I took a group of 18 ladies for lunch on Friday 8th and we had a very enjoyable meal. Sue, our waitress, was absolutely brilliant and helpful and it mean't that everyone was able to enjoy themselves as she looked after us so well. So I wanted to thank her and recommend this Beefeater.

We have just been to this restaurant for Sunday roast. The service was appalling,We booked at table for 4:30pm as we have young kids so wanted to eat early as to get them to bed early. We sat down at 4:30 & did not leave until 7:15pm. From what we could see there was one waitress serving 1whole side of the restaurant on her own with little help from the Manager Olek. Our waitress was fantastic but over worked & unfortunately this meant we were just forgotten. Waiting over 30 to have plates cleared, menus bought out. We could see our food just sitting under the heat lamp drying out. I'm absolutely appalled by this we quite like it here & visit frequently but I think we will go elsewhere from now on. Not even an apology from the manager when I complained.

Update August 2023Had a great wholesome breakfast, staff very good.Update June 2023Looks like the front entrance has been changed and smartend up. Staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the vegan sausages were not available.Update March 2023Took advantage of a 40% off meal deal. Food and service as expected. Had Abbot beer on tap.Great breakfast and very attentive staff.Update December 2022 still have great funny friendly staff.

Food was delicious best I've ever had at a beefeater.Best waitress Carol or Claire. So polite, lovely chats and on the ball. First time I've ever praised a waitress and given her a tip. My partner knows I don't like many people who serve me. But she went back and beyond for us. Would come again when next in the area.

First time here. A lovely atmosphere and the waitress Sue was great. She really looked after our party of 13 and was very attentive. The food was amazing. Look forward to returning

The food is very nice, they have a daytime saver menu with meals that rangers from £5 - £7.59 although these meals are slightly smaller portions than the regular menu.The staff are super friendly but the down side to this location is that sometimes you have 1 waitress working the front of house and it does get busy sometimes from 4pm - 6pm which makes waiting times a little silly.

Nice dining areas and menu - much more restaurant-like than pub-like. Wonderful food, and my medium-rare rib eye was perfectly cooked. Side dishes (salad, roated vegetables, onion rings, mushroom and tomato) were all excellent too.Friendly, cheerful service - thanx, Stacey!Adjacent to Premier Inn, and convenient to the Holiday Inn.

Gail was excellent. Food was fine and as expected. Wish Beefeater would stop putting paper under dishes as you end up wondering if you were eating paper with your food!
