First time using Clubleys for a house sale and I would not recommend them at all!They are extremely difficult to get hold of, never return phone calls, I ended up having to call again the next day.Ask them a simple question, they don't know the answer, so promise to come back to you, they never call back.Admittedly our Purchaser was a first-time buyer and needed some guidance, which he should’ve received from Clubleys but he did not receive any guidance from Clubleys.But Clubleys did manage to offend his wife which prompted our Purchaser to instruct all Clubleys communication to be directed at his solicitor. I don’t know what caused this, my Purchaser was of a different ethnicity and had a different culture, but I always found him approachable and reasonable. I feel Clubleys failed to in their approach to communication.Reluctantly I had to step in and speak to our Purchaser to prevent the sale from falling through. Clubleys then blamed me for the poor communication as I had spoken to the buyer directly. But if I didn't, Clubleys would have cost me the sale.The final example of how poor the communication was is that they didn’t even know we had exchanged contracts and completed two days later. They had no idea, until I called them myself to ask them what I should do with the keys for the sale. Truly shocking. I expect they will attempt to defend this statement, but I spoke to the Director and asked her to confirm the date of exchange of contracts and she point blank couldn’t.I spoke to a director, halfway through the sale, and at the completion of the sale about the poor service received and apparently it was either my fault or my Purchaser’s fault, depending on which point we were discussing. It was never Clubleys fault, even though they are responsible for their own communication.
