A really pretty pub and super beer garden. The staff however is a bit flat, soulless and not very communicative. Sure, it was hot that day . I get it. Still, easy to say hello and thank you and perhaps even crack a tiny little smile.

Let’s start saying they are pet lovers! Since we entered with our little dog they welcome us with a big smile! We went for the jubilee day Barbecue and Cocktails. The staff is amazing, the food and drinks as well.

Love this place. We worked behind the bar here 50 years ago, and came back for a reunion with our Ealing Technical College friends. The staff are really friendly, warm and helpful, the beers are excellent (Fullers) and the food is very nice, huge helpings and well cooked. Highly recommended.

Update to my previous review which was only of the cider. Said we’d return for the Sunday Roast which happened a couple of weeks ago. Very nice roast, too many of the seasonal veggies, but that’s my issue with them and apparently they were very good. Portions are huge and the Yorkshire Pudding great, roast beef also delicious. Will come back as it’s almost my local and as previously said the place is very homely.******************************Lovely homely pub. Roast dinners look amazing and will definitely be coming back here. However the mulled cider is not good. As it cools its tastes like vinegar.....shame.

Really lovely pub, shame about the miserable staff. The young lady on bar clearly didn't want to be there and had no interest in serving me and made it seem like a real effort that she had to get up and pour a drink. What seemed to be the landlady was even worse, completely unfriendly and unapproachable.Food was a disappointment. As there were barely any people in the pub I would have expected the food to be good however when it did arrive it was luke warm and lacked any taste due to what seemed to be a lack of seasoning. The pizza looked great but tasted greasy and the bacon with the liver was so fatty and undercooked it make it inedible. Will give it another go as the venue is lovely and hopefully I just caught them on a bad day.

Very very average Sunday roast served by unenthusiastic staff. Almost no green vegetables included, staff seemed surprised when I asked for more peas from the c20 included (which did not arrive before we finished eating). Friend had burger without the bun, but it also served missing every other named extra bar cheese ( ie no sauce, no lettuce, no pickled red onions).

It's a fullers pub, so good selection of ales and beers on tap with changes based on the season with one or two specials and guest beers/ciders too. Lovely garden area and refurb done a few years back was well worth the investment, has the feel of a quiet backstreet local, and that's what it is!

Beautiful pub, inside and outside too! I celebrated my birthday here for two years in a row and I couldn't be any happier. What makes this pub special is the service, a big thanks to David!

I went here yesterday at 4.15pm and I was really disappointed. Just to add I have been here on several occasions in the past too.So anyway we arrived for 4.15pm and booked a tablet in advance. Someone just pointed to our table, so we just went and sat down.I then went to the bar and ordered one roast norfolk chicken, one beef, 1 pint of london ale and 1 gin with blood orange soda. That came to 64. something. How can that be?Norfolk Chicken is 19.00 and Beef is £24.00 so that comes to 43.00 before any drinks. How can it be an additional 21 something for 1 pint of london ale and a gin and tonic. The bar lady didn't ask me what I wanted if single or double either and she just poured whatever in. Then proceeded to chat to her mate in a foreign language and and put my beer right down on the counter next to his, literally touching, so I then had to say, sorry which drink is mine.I wasn't offered a receipt and just went and sat back down but I looked at the till and I should have been given my receipt. Only after I left did I think that is so expensive for those drinks. We then went to the table someone brought over the cutlery and then after about 15 mins the food came.I am sorry the food isn't up to par for what you charge at all! My chicken had veg that was hard, it was halve cooked. At no point did anyone come over and ask how the meal was, did we need anything else, but they did for the table opposite us and anyone else who sat down and they even had someone coming over every 15 mins asking if they wanted anymore drinks. So when you go here, ask the price of the drinks and get a receipt. For what we paid and what we got it wasn't up to scratch.I have been here on several occasions before too and the service is always way better, the food can't be questioned and the staff are way friendlier and just on the ball too.
