Our son has been attending this nursery for almost two years and we're very happy with it. The staff has always been welcoming, the food is good (varied meat, fish and vegetable meals) and he is always happy when we come pick him up. My impression is that staff turnover is pretty low compared to other nurseries, in fact there is a family vibe among many of the staff members. I also like the way they handle children moving into older age rooms: there are lots of settling in sessions and the entire room moves together in September. In some other nurseries children move individually when they turn a certain age, which means they get separated from their friends.

My daughter attended this nursery for about 4 years. There were some good things and some not so good things, but it was OK. There were certainly a lot of staff turnover in the care rooms and professional smiles at the front desk.Until it was time to leave and go to primary school.Unfortunately for us, that summer, just after giving birth to my second child, I started to feel symptoms of what turned out to be a brain tumor. Given the circonstances, there was only time for us to handle the most pressing matters, by that I mean, there wasn't anymore enough time for us to read the lovely and colourful weekly nursery newsletter. We told the staff in the room which day our daughter was to leave: the last week before the start of school. They noted it down on a piece of paper. We also cancelled the payment schemes with the university.Until we received an email telling us that we had forgotten to email the nursery management team about our leaving date and therefore they were regrettably forced to charge us for the month of September. There was a long exchange of email with the then area nursery manager (Sammy F.), through which we attempted to make our case, in what closely resembled a dialogue of the deaf. We concluded that, having failed in our duty to read the newsletter we had been condemned to pay a fine of £1000. We rebelled. The issue was immediately escalated to a payment recovery officer in London and in no time, a repayment deadline was issued to us by post. Within one month, they had already booked a court hearing slot. The aggressiveness of their dehumanised response baffled us. We certainly didn't have the energy to handle this. And so it costed us a little over £1000. It didn't kill us. Even less would it have killed Childbase partnership's £50 million turnover that year, especially given the one year waiting list to get in. But it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. They will respond, but Madam
