Happy Jakes Caravan and Camping Park

Fantastic camp site!Easy to locate, great price and all round perfect camping experience. Decided to pick Happy Jakes to introduce a newbie to camping and it didn’t disappoint. Getting there was really easy and the welcome pack waiting for us made it quick to locate the pitch and get set up.The toilet and shower block is really clean, warm and tidy. The showers are lovely and warm, great when it’s a been a cold day out. There is a fridge if you need to keep a few things cool and a large washing up area.We went during the week so it was a little quieter but other campers were friendly and the site quietened down in the evening around 22:00.Loads of places nearby to visit and great coastal walks with stunning views over water.All in all a great location and we will be going back again!

Hosted by a genuinely lovely lady called Mandy. Excellent site with very clean facilities, large pitches and well thought out. Would highly recommend.

Amazing little site , owners amazing, always happy to help ,nice park and family showers rooms , 5 star clean and tidy everywhere , lots of space for kids to play and run a round safely

Beautiful area. Lovely campsite, perfect little get away, pods are fantastic. Aeroplane on site is an incredible thing to veiw. Hosts are lovely and helpful, not too far from beach and a castle. Would 1000% visit again

Lovely clean site. Toilets and showers immaculate. Pitch largest we’ve ever had. Lovely and quiet. Excellent dog field. Owners very friendly and always available when needed. Great location a short drive from Barry Island for Gavin and Stacey fans like us. Play area large and modern play equipment in view of pitch so out 8 year old was very happy. Fridge freezer available to store food. Thank you Mandy we will be back one day. Really enjoyed our first trip to South Wales. The Hitchens.

Fabulous campsite very dog friendly. Neat and clean site and excellent facilities. A real gem. We will definitely be back again.

Exactly what we were looking for! After a bad, noisy, toddler awake all night experience at another site a few weekends ago we were feeling a little downhearted about caravanning with our two kids but this place really is peaceful. Very family friendly, noise is kept to a minimum by respectful campers and conscientious owners. The showers and toilets were very clean. The play area was a real hit for us and was an open, safe space where the kids could run off a bit of energy. The South Wales Aviation Museum is very close by and well worth a visit, we finished with a drive to the viewing point for Cardiff Airports runway. Perfect stay, we’ll definitely return!

Lovely campsite. Shower block clean and warm. There is plenty of hot water. Really enjoyed our stay.

What a lovely little site, new to owning a campervan and staying here made the weekend so pleasurable. Mandy made us feel very welcome. Will stay here again.
