Hyde Driving Test Centre

Passed first time at this test centre today, the examiner was friendly and calm alongside gave detailed guidance. As in previous experience at West didsbury the examiners rushed guidance, also felt as if they didn't want to be there. if you want a fair evaluation, safe also calm route use the hyde test centre.Ignore reviews from people like Rajmina Begum, even though she passed she still has the audacity to complain. giving 1 star just over constructive criticism.

They really didn't think the location of this test center through, it has no parking lot and the outside streets are narrow residential streets that are a nightmare to find parking on! But on a plus side they have no parking bays so no reverse parking when taking your test here. The center has a small waiting room and toilets. The test instructors were generally rather grumpy but you don't need to speak to them

I definitely would not recommend the new lady that has recently started, i cant remember her name. But as soon as we were in the car she kept telling me 'she wants to get this done before the school kids get out' or that 'it'll get dark soon so we dont have time' honestly to be rushed like this when you are paying £62 is a joke. I was rushed to do my manoeuvre. If the school kids and it getting dark is a problem for the examiners then that test time shouldn't be available to take, at the end of the day you have to drive through rush hour and the dark when you pass so what difference does it make in the test? Honestly so annoyed by this woman who obviously just didnt want to be there so rushed through the test.

My Daughter passed her test on Wednesday and Phil was fantastic with her but I must mention Roger Taylor who found £100 cash that I had rolled up in my pocket and had the honesty and integraty to find me and hand it back, a credit to the test centre. Thank You from Paul

Cancelled my test 2 minutes before I was due to sit it because the examiner was “running 10 minutes late” after waiting 3 months for the test and now I have been told because my reschedule date doesn’t fit into my calendar I must now wait another 2-3 months. The longest waiting list for driving tests as well! Use Bredbury or Chadderton if possible, shorter waiting lists and you can get cancellation slots for a matter of days away not months.

ive done my test here 3 times and it was horrible with allen, he was shouting at me in the middle of my test which had ended up with me failing because he made me feel so on edge. im glad this place is closing down because i never want to step foot here again

Had both my first and second driving test attempts here, managed to pass second time with Bob who was really helpful with explaining everything and gave me plenty of notice for pulling up etc, he also made me feel at ease during my test. On both occasions the examiners were very professional and were more than happy to provide feedback on how I could improve, I would highly recommend this test centre to anyone who is looking to get on the road.

Examiner was shouting When he was giving feedback end of the test .Although, I passed my practical test. Very rude examiner There is a way of talking to people. Hence examiner was also shouting to the instructor for stupid reason. Me and my instructor had a laugh after the Examiner left. There was no need for that attitude.

Had my test with Sarah, if I could give her no stars I would. Unprofessional and could tell from the moment we got in the car she didn’t want to be there. Also kept changing her mind last minute on directions which as someone on my test made me very nervous. AVOID!!!
