What a fantastic experience! And free! The experience is at various levels: the architecture, the artifacts, the forest outside glass walls, the contrast amongst all of this. It is just amazing. Well worth the visit!

Free admission however you can leave a donation (cash or contactless). The car park is a decent size but gets busy from around midday. It's pay and display, you can use the machines or the RINGO app. The museum is very well kept, lovely lighting, big high glass ceilings. Plenty of historic items to see. Cafe and shop inside.

Unmissable highlight of any visit to Glasgow. The revamped Burrell won museum of the year in 2023. It's not that easy to get to without a car as it's situated in the middle of the enormous Pollock Park. I cycled and the cycle routes from central Glasgow are fantastic. The collection itself is amazing containing several masterpieces. The museum itself is beautiful and has a good cafe as well as an indoor picnic area. The staff were wonderfully helpful.

The Burrell Collection
An eclectic private art collection housed in a modern museum with a very peculiar approach. Artworks are mixed and matched and presented with thought provoking paragraphs. Understanding the details of what you see is less important than having a debate on the essence of the art presented. A refreshing approach set in a rather family friendly way. The many video essays accompanying stand out art pieces are surprisingly well done and a delight to watch. The entrance to the museum is free, it is situated in an expansive park, it offers great food and snacks and makes overall for a great half day excursion.

The Burrell Collection
Fantastic collection of art which has been made more interactive and accessible since the refit. I particularly liked that there were places to sit and contemplate the contents without having to buy something. Saying that we were there for 4 hours - the queuing and ordering system in the main restaurant is truly shambolic (but the actual food once it arrived was perfectly nice), the espresso bar seems to have its act together though.NB the collection is free to visit but you do have to pay to park.

The Burrell Collection
A lovely peaceful place to spend a morning or afternoon. There were lots of interesting pieces to learn about and the building is beautiful. They also have a cafe and gift shop with lovely gift ideas. I will be back.

Free to enter and an interesting mix of traditional and modern building structures in which the museum is housed. Lots of outside seating, a free electric bus to run you about the Park should you not be able or fancy walking the short distance to Pollock House. Dogs are not allowed inside the building so I dog sat in the car park. Be warned, paying by RingGo involves an additional payment of 40p on the £10 daily charge, no warning of that on any of the sign boards or on the Burrell Collection website. (Nice little earner!) No outdoor seating for refreshments so no chance of me having lunch with my wife and daughter. I'm told the Collection is worth seeing.
