Can only assume other reviews have never been to another chippy. Could name 10 within 2 miles better off the top of my head easy. Chicken meat looked days old swimming in grease, donor meat like rubber or plastic, chips overdone, portion sizes would make jesus blush for the price. Wouldnt feed it my dog would be worried his gut would disintegrate.

Was there last week fish pale soggy yellow chips practically white won't b using again ,looks like new ownership ,think they need a class on customer service skills

I went to this chippy as I was passing found the service okish but the chips were awful as though they had been cooked a previous day. So oily and burnt. The fish was just as bad. Price I paid was £11 for one cod and chips and a scallop. I would never ever recommend this chippy ever.So so disappointed

This Fish & Chip shop has around for years and every time I've been it's never dipped in quality, food is always superb and staff are polite and friendly. They serve a decent mixed kebab as well as fish, thoroughly recommended stopping off here for a bite to eat! Fanaris keep it up guys!!

Paid for food. Had to wait a little for the chips. This was no problem as there was in store entertainment of watching a fly crawling all over the kebab salad.Threw the chips away. Never going back.

We have just been to this chip shop and it was the worse dinner we have ever had. The chips were cold, the pie looked days old and the donner meat was not even cooked, it was slimy chunks of meat. Stay well away, discusting food

To the black haired woman that just served me this evening: your attitude and people skills are disgusting. You slapped my change into my hands, you threw my food together and incorrectly too. No salt or vinegar. No thank yous. Yoy might be having a bad day but that's no excuse to treat customers so rudely. Absolutely appalled at that service. Never had a problem before. Won't be coming back.

I have used Fanaris for years and always been very happy with the food and service. The girls that used to work there were superb and knew what we wanted before we asked as we were regulars. However went there a couple of weeks ago and was appalled at the lack of customer service and hygiene. We were served by a woman with long black hair, not tied back or covered, wearing a grubby looking vest who needs to find a new job. Unless they get the old girls back, in their professional looking uniforms with their hair under caps and great people skills, I won't be going back. For God's sake Pete, get the old crew back in, or you'll have no business.

I have been here on numerous occasions, and always found the food to be good, but went here last night and sad to say but the food is not up to the standard previously met. The fish batter was very soggy not crispy as it was before. Very disappointed. Where have all the staff gone too? The girls were excellent.
