Wildwood Ely is a hidden gem in Cambridgeshire that stands out among Italian dining establishments. It's a place where culinary excellence meets warm hospitality, creating an enchanting experience that will have you longing to return. If you're a fan of Italian cuisine or simply looking for a delightful dining escape, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Wildwood a try. You won't be disappointed.

I came on a Friday at 6pm for their meal and a movie deal. I was seated and served quite promptly and my drinks came quite quickly. It wasn’t busy and the restaurant had a pretty chilled vibe. For my starter I ordered the arancini. I was so excited by this as I absolutely love arancini but what was served was honestly just sad. I can’t imagine how it must feel to be a chef and have to make and serve this. Honestly no flavour, just mush. I felt a bit sad eating it to be honest and didn’t finish it. I absolutely adore arancini and it’s one of my favourite dishes, but this was by far the worst arancini I’ve eaten. For my main I ordered the mushroom burger. I absolutely love mushroom burgers and it was a nice surprise to see it on the menu as it used to be a staple veggie option before all the veggie and vegan alternatives became avaliable so I’ve not had a mushroom burger in quite some time! The burger was tasty although the amount of mushroom was small. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate brownie, which was pretty small but quite tasty.I assumed they’d time the dishes coming out so they’d come out in time for when the film started but I ended up having an hour to kill before the film started, however I was allowed to chill out upstairs where the film is for that hour which I am grateful for.Their cinema room was pretty spacious with quite comfy seats. One of the waiters, I believe he was called Aaron (?) was super lovely and bought me up a glass of water while I was waiting for the film which I didn’t even ask for, which was really really lovely. The toilets were clean, stylish and well stocked. I used them around half past 7 after chilling upstairs in the cinema room and the restaurant was very busy when I went downstairs to find the toilets.Overall, a pretty mediocre 3 courses and I’m no longer surprised by how cheap the £24.95 deal was for a 3 course meal, and a film, however I’d probably come back again if they had another film I’d want to see. I’d like to try more of the menu to see if I have a better experience

Busy Sunday lunchtime.2hr table lease.Table of 4.Main course, dessert and drinks.Delicious pizzetta and salad for lunch. Lemon tart sold out leaving one of our party disappointed. There seemed to be a few issues with the wait staff - got two orders wrong and kept coming back to the table to inform or clarify. We didn't wait too long for food.Mostly enjoyable but room for improvement.

Stopped by on an early Saturday night for dinner. I was surprised by the lovely decor inside this restaurant, it feels nice to eat inside here.Ordered some pasta and we had puddings, all of which were good. The mushroom ravioli didn't taste of too much though and the portion seemed small compared to what the others for for their pasta meals.Puddings were tasty, the vanilla ice cream outstanding. It did work out very expensive though. Considering we didn't have starters and only had one drink each, for three of us it cost just under £100. We had to check to see if it was right as we were a bit shocked. They do add 10% tip on which a lot of places are doing now which took it up and I'm not sure how I feel about places doing this. I'm all for tipping but it feels forced and then embarrassing if you want to remove or change it.Main other complaint is that the tables are stupidly close together and so we were on top of the people behind us

Food and atmosphere is nice but I don't think it's worth wasting your afternoon waiting for it. One hour for a meal followed by 40 minutes for cold (ice cream) desert and place wasn't even busy. I can't imagine how long it will take when they are busy? I don't think we'll be back soon.

Table was pre booked. Food was pre ordered. Still over hour waiting for starters and 15min before remaining starters arrived. Small children in group so booked early in evening but main meal did not arrive till late. Food was not good. Small portions, undercooked, not a pleasant experience. Waitress was very nice and doing her best but Food was not. Will not be going back. Service charge added to bill 20% .
