Online orders can be only paid by PayPal. So if you don't have PayPal account your only option is to travel to Herne Bay to the shop. If you try and order over the phone you are lucky if they they answer. After several attempts I gave up. Very poor, unfortunately parents have no other option.

Another uniform store gave my daughter's pe socks away to another customer even though I had paid for them before the summer holidays and then told me they where out of stock at the start of term. Barnums where able to reserve a pair pair for me and I collected with no issues. The staff where very friendly too. I wish I would have ordered all the uniforms from them in the first place.

This is one of those businesses that survive no matter what- because there is no competition. I ordered two items on line, paid for using PayPal, never received a order confirmation, they have yet to respond to the two emails I send enquiring about the on line order and they not answer their phone. I understand that this is a very busy time of year, but this is poor business and very poor customer service. And I know the this complaint will not do anything because the people running Barnums know that we have nowhere else to go for school uniforms. I am very happy that this is the last year I have to buy school uniforms from them.

I am sad to say this as years ago this shop was brilliant, what has happened Barnums! Please also order more uniform in before the start of the academic year, you must see a trend? I am sure getting a computerised system would be a more efficient way of working.I placed my order 2/3 weeks into the summer holidays and now (started back at school) my children's uniform has still not come in. I had a call to say part of my order was in (cardigans) and you were waiting for the PE shirts. I then call back a week before school starts for you to tell me that the PE shirts were in but the cardigans weren't. What happened to my cardigans??? I still have not had a call to say when they are to be in and we are now day 2 into the term. For the price of the uniform my expectations were just a little higher in regards to customer service. Sadly I believe this is the only supplier of Herne Junior School's logo.Note: Phone number to the shop only rings occasionally :-(. Perhaps this is only put on at certain times of the day in peak times?

We've had such a great experience at Barnum's. I ordered online. Then I called to check the status of my order. The lady on the phone was a delight to talk to and was so helpful. When we went to pick up our order the staff were so helpful and polite despite being super busy. Thank you so much. All of your kindness was very much appreciated.

Zero for customer information. Made a journey to Herne Bay on 20 December (the Tankerton shop is closed, despite what their website says) to find a sign in the door saying they were shut, and had been since 13 December, and reopening after Christmas. Referring again to the website, the only opening hours shown are for Spring 2017. Tried phoning but it just rings, no answer phone message. It's unfortunate that schools choose to use only one supplier, as that creates a monopoly and businesses then get complacent about the customers they are supposed to serve. I care less about it being closed than the fact that in this day and age you have to walk up to the front door and read a sign to discover this.

Prices fair but piss all over the floor in men's toilets lots of dossers in there and the management chaired more about having a cuddlebehind the bar,short staffed and long time to be served the man in charge could not care for the public.

Great shop and amazing staff. Joy and cheryl are so so lovely and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend a visit for all of your school wear needs

Lovely, friendly, very efficient and hard working staff. Nothing is too much trouble, even though it gets so busy in the run up month too starting school ,along with bored children and sometimes not very polite customers who think they are the only ones trying too get a uniform for their child, think they do a brilliant job and should be praised a lot more for it. !!Amy
