We had an absolutely amazing experience with Mark. I booked him to photograph my surprise proposal and I can’t fault anything. He absolutely went above and beyond in every aspect - he checked out our location the day before, he was brilliant with discreet communication so my partner wouldn’t find out, and he had a brilliant knowledge of beautiful areas around the Lake District.When it came to the proposal, everything went perfectly to plan because of his organisation and advice. He was so friendly and made us feel incredibly comfortable, even though we’re not used to our photo being taken! He gave us many prompts throughout the session to capture the most beautiful, natural photos. The next day, he gave us a couple of preview photos which were amazing. He then very quickly provided us with our entire gallery about a week later and we were absolutely blown away by all of them.We could not have picked a better person to photograph our once-in-a-lifetime moment. I can’t fault anything - we would book him again in a heartbeat. I can’t recommend Mark highly enough.

Mark was absolutely brilliant and the photos are exactly what we wanted. He stayed well beyond the time he needed to, and suggested a good backup plan when ours were thwarted by a road closure. He got the photos back to us really quickly and is very accommodating with providing different printing options if required.

Mark made our wedding elopement dreams come true! What a day we had. Mark is an incredibly talented photographer with amazing creativity, that shows through his wonderful photos. Not only is he a genuinely lovely man, he was able to get to know us enough in just a few short hours in order to capture our relationship beautifully in our photos. He helped us laugh and feel comfortable and came up with fantastic ideas for photos! He truly cared about capturing the best photos for us and made us feel so at ease as anxious people who have never had their photos taken professionally before. Couldn’t recommend him enough to anyone in need of professional photos. He was also kind enough to be one of our witnesses for our day, which we will always be grateful for. He also sent us amazing sneak peak photos super quick which was a delightful bonus! Thank you so much for capturing such beautiful memories we will cherish forever!

I could not recommend Mark enough!! From the first enquiry to receiving our wedding story he excelled all expectations. Our wedding photos perfectly capture the day. Me and my partner are both quite photoshy but Mark was super friendly putting us at ease and taking natural beautiful moments we will cherish forever!

Where can I start?Mark was the best and only photographer I would have had at our wedding day. He understood what we wanted, and how we wanted mainly real candid moments. He took the brief and absolutely smashed it! We had so many amazing pictures to choose from… too many as they were so good! Not a bad problem to have!!! Mark is absolutely amazing, I thoroughly recommend him for any professional photography you need especially your wedding day. My wedding photos are beautiful, he has not only given us great pictures of us and our guests but a story of the whole day. He is so friendly and put us and our guests at ease which really shows in the fantastic, natural photos we have. I have received so many compliments not only on the photos but of how lovely Mark was on the day. I cannot recommend him enough, he is a fantastic photographer, a true professional who you can tell loves his job and it shows in his work.

It took us forever to write this review because every time we started, it got all emotional. It’s hard to put into words everything we think about Mark's services as after spending our wedding day with him, it kind of feels like we're reviewing a member of our family. :)We got married at the Inn on the Lake in Glenridding which is a very popular venue. Sure enough there are a number of photographers who work in the area but I can’t say we had an easy time finding the right one. (Disappointingly a surprising amount of popular photographers forget how special the occasion is for the couple and that all interactions are part of the service even at the enquiry stage.)Long story short, after speaking to a number of photographers, I knew I would choose Mark at the very first interaction, even before I've gone through his images at length! From the first moment on, Mark spoke to me with such excitement and enthusiasm which made me feel really special and reassured that our day will go smoothly.Now I'm not camera shy but we're both on the anxious side as people, plus we were worried about the added the nerves of the day so I knew that finding the right person for our photos would be the most important job. The photos are one thing but trust me on this one, it has to feel right with the person.. There are I'm sure many skilled photographers out there who have studied for years and can work with lights and produce great images. However, your wedding is much more of a personal and intimate experience than just photographs. Capturing the essence of your memories and the flavour of the day in pictures requires a whole lot more than just skill with a camera.Enter Mark..All the way through the preparation stages, every time I spoke to Mark he was warm, kind and caring. I was confident that he would be the right person for the job and I wasn’t wrong. From the first second of the day to the last we felt looked after & listened to. Mark made us both feel comfortable and calm. He got on great with us and all of our guests & soon enough it was like we had known him for years and he was part of the family.If you want a lot of posed family pictures and pre-planned shots, sure, Mark will do it for you (with unworldly patience I might add - side note; plan ahead for keeping your guests in check when it comes to requesting group photos), however that is not why Mark’s photos are incredibly special.Capturing YOU, the very essence of you, the best version of you but it a way that is real and still you - that is Mark’s exceptional talent. One that requires intuition, care, an exceptional eye for emotions behind moments & dedication.Throughout the day he guided us gently, whilst also listening to our thoughts. He’d do absolutely anything to get it right, whether that was climbing on top of furniture (or parts of a steamer boat) or moving fifty chairs out of the way at the speed of lightning.After the wedding the care and warmth did not stop (I mean he’s a lovely person so that’s sort of a given). In a couple of days we received a sneak peak package of amazing shots and soon after we got our full wedding story with the most beautiful photos!They are so much more than pictures though. Everything and I mean everything is in them! Our whole day, our story, our emotions. We look at the pictures and immediately we’re transported back in time to those special moments and relive all the feelings! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Mark for creating a miracle of a wedding story for us, you’re truly amazing!
