the central bank is doing nothing about credit unions that continue to hold virtual AGM's. A measure that was allowed by rule change to enable credit unions to hold their AGM now covid is over we are stuck with this, Directors escape examination and the members have now lost their rights the bank will live to regret this undemocratic process

If you love brutalist architecture, you have to see this. Of course, many will think it a monstrosity, but that's their loss :-)

This is a beautiful building and has wonderful architecture and so is one of Dublin's gems. You can walk by and stand in front to view the beautiful building from the street. It is situated just across the street from the Historical Trinity College Dublin

The regulator is another quango that exist to make themselves money….If it’s supposed to regulate banking, act in the interest of the financial consumer….why is there no law recommended or active to ensure Irish financial institutions have a 24/7 debit & credit card customer care line ? Should be mandatory…. Bank im with are Monday to Friday 9-5… fine for in person banking but with card electronic payments 24/7….. ? You are away and something goes wrong say ? You’ve 64 hours from close of business on Friday until 9 am Monday morning where there is nobody to contact at said bank…. Regulate ? Jokeshop, and the taxpayers fund it…

Pay lip service to diversity. All their job ads talk about diversity etc, but its clear HR and / or senior management do not want diversity. Very qualified applicants being turned away. May as well put up a sign saying Irish applicants only. Governor Maklouf, as non Irish yourself, you should demand a full review of the Bank's practices across all levels, particularly senior grades upwards. Practice what you preach.

Visited the central bank to exchange some old Irish currency. But, apparently, only currency issued after 1928 could be exchanged. So I had to cart the nineteen offspring of a sheep I bartered a trailer for with aul Jim O'Toole back in 1910, all the way home to leitrim. Unbelievable.
