Sumburgh Head Lighthouse Accommodation

Amazing views, Great accommodation and location. Lucky to see the Northern Lights twice.

It wasn't open so I cannot really comment only to say that the view was amazing.

It was a chilly day looks great from the outside - didn't go in today. But like the scenery really stunning views.

Well worth the visit and worth the money brilliant

Great panorama. If you get lucky you can see cute little puffins along the coast!

Best ever,had holiday in September and another in June, just loved the island in both seasons, light house was a unique experience

The Lighthouse is another example from the Stevenson family of engineers. The former Lighthouse Keepers cottages are now holiday accommodation and visitor centre. The accommodation is four-star and includes underfloor heating with original flagstone floors. The foghorn sounds at the beginning of the visitor season and also at the close of the visitor season. This is a perfect location to view the puffins which use the cliffs for nesting during the season between April and August. The Lighthouse is also start as a film location for the TV drama Shetland. You might be lucky enough to watch dolphins or Orcas from this high vantage spot on the cliff tops. The airport terminal building is within walking distance to the Lighthouse at approximately 30 minutes walk.

Excellent place to stay, Wildlife,Northern lights,Wild weather and great views day and night.

Brilliant staff and very accommodating. Spectacular views over the south end of Shetland Islands.
