I have used Jack Parker cycles for many years, buying (and selling) children's bikes as my children grew through the years, not to mention my own bike. I am just a leisure cyclist with a mountain bike so often it can be a while between my visits but they always remember me and say hello if they happen to be outside the shop when I pass, plus they will always go above and beyond to help with any requests and repairs. It is just good traditional shop service and I would highly recommend them to anyone, even if they cannot help they will point you in the right direction to get what you need, that is not something you see very often in todays society!

Barry has done so many fiddly little jobs for me when I have either not had the right tools or the knowledge to sort out myself, in most cases when I have tried to fix something and failed. He has put whole group sets on, indexed brakes properly, stopped squeeling disc brakes and many other things. He has just used his straightener to straighten my Ribble rear derailleur hanger which is now great and fitted and sorted the spacing on an 11 speed free Hub which is now smooth. The shop prices are very reasonable and Barry will always try to give you options for your budget. The shop also has a good stock of various bikes for different needs.

A fantastic experience buying a bike from Jack Parker Cycles. Barry is top of his game and was able to provide all the answers to my queries and advised about sizing, weights, frames, gearing and a whole host of specifications I simply hadn’t even considered.The end result is that I am now the proud owner of a bespoke bike that has been built specifically for me.I cant rate them highly enough and would thoroughly recommend anyone to have a chat with them if you want independent professional guidance when buying a bike.Great personal service with maintenance backup

What a fantastic experience walking into Jack parkers today, spoken to Barry a few days before on the phone who was very polite and helpful and invited me for a chat. Came down and met dave also a great guy very friendly and chilled. Atmosphere was great in the shop no pressure or awkwardness. Cannot fault Barry he is a top fella went above and beyond and I mean literally insisted on helping and making sure everything was set up correctly (smart trainer) which was free of charge including delivery. Reassured me that any problems to not hesitate to contact and always here if I need help. I'm very new to cycling but one thing I can guarantee is I will be staying loyal to this local business. 20/10 recommend

Excellent service.Bearing went in rear hub when I was 15 miles from home. Called into the shop on spec to see what, if anything, could be done. Barry lent me one of his spare wheels so I could finish my ride. Then yesterday evening he brought my repaired wheel to me at home. All for £30. I was expecting at least twice that amount.Service far beyond what we normally expect to receive, and excellent value for money.Thank you very much.
