This is a really great charity whose dedication to the animals in their care goes above and beyond. Remember that this is only a house, not some purpose built sanctuary. Due to covid worries they have been closed to the public for some time but worth a visit when they reopen. In the meantime please donate if you can, every penny goes to the upkeep and welfare of the animals there.

This charity is amazing. They take in so many needy animals and are often filled to bursting with cats, guinea pigs and rabbits. Many are rehomed but some stay for the rest of their lives.

Do not trust this place. They put down innocent dogs! We took a dog from someone that intended to have him put to sleep. We got in contact with paws animal sanctuary and explained the situation. We was told they would rehabilitate and work with the young dog and then try to find him a forever home. Unfortunately they would never actually give him that chance. For nearly a year they've ignored all correspondence from us asking for an update. We finally got through to them today just for them to tell us today he was one" of the dogs they had to put to sleep. Absolutely devastated as if they had just spoke to us we would of taken him back in a heartbeat but instead they took matters into their own hands."

Very helpful person took the items I brought to them and explained the items still needed and those at this time that were not. All animal sanctuaries do such a good job.

A friend of mine was fostering a dog for Paws animal sanctuary, she picked him up at 6 months old, he had no flea, worm or vaccination status. The dog wasn't even evaluated, no paperwork was signed either so my friend was a little concerned about what she had got herself into. The dog was adopted twice within 3 weeks, due to fear aggression, resource gaurding & seperation anxiety the dog returned to my friend both times. The dog started to nip at people out of fear of being hit, everyone feared for the 10 year old boy living in the foster home. Communication was poor, any form of support was just non exisistant it seemed. I saw her struggle & listened to her tears too many times. She fell in love with this boy but couldn't fix him, she demanded rehabilitation & training for the dog from the sanctuary, they took him back & now 3 weeks later there is no sign of the dog within the area. How is this humane? My friend wants to adopt the dog & that was the plan once he had been trained professionally, he's just vanished.
