Beautiful workshop with helpful staff

I contacted Pilgrim Harps last year, full of excitement and with an interest of buying a harp for the first time.Unfortunately it took a member of staff a week to answer and I was quite disappointed by this.By that time, I had contacted other UK harp suppliers - most of which were also slow to reply, didn't respond at all or showed very little interest in selling me a harp.In the end, I contacted Teifi Harps based in Wales and was so impressed with their friendly staff and excellent customer service. They immediately gave me an appointment and I bought an amazing, very beautiful harp from them instead.It is a shame that Pilgrim Harps were rather slow to answer, otherwise in may have bought a harp from them.I did however recently order a harp string from them which arrived very promptly and my harp teacher plays a Pilgrim Harp and is happy with hers.I am giving 3 stars because of the slow response last year, in hope that the company may speed up communication and show more interest in customers.

Great harps, lovely staff and speedy service with strings and other bits. Plus great long-distance help from John re a buzzing pedal rod, excellent regulation at EIHF and good comms beforehand. Honestly couldn't ask for more.

We have been looking at buying a harp for quite some time but they are expensive so the process can be a little daunting.  We contacted Pilgrim Harps as we'd played one of their harps before and it was beautiful and sounded wonderful.  Friendly on the phone and e-mail, we made an appointment and visited.  Penny was very kind and welcoming.  There was no rushing, lots of helpful advice and playing harps.  We have come away with a beautiful ex-hire harp and we are very pleased with it, it sounds lovely and the craftsmanship is excellent.  I recommend.

Months ago, I ordered a few tuning keys from John, however, as it did not fit I sent them back and asked for a refund. I have already written 5 messages asking for a refund, however, I was completely ignored since this day.

All the staff here are very friendly and they are all passionate about their work, John has been there for over 50 years. I am currently hiring a harp from them but will definitely purchase from one at the end of the hire period. They are so helpful and always want you to be happy. I have just attended their Strings and Things" course which now means I don't have a fear of replacing a new string and can do it efficiently. The course was an all day course which meant I learnt so much about the care of the harp and what better way than to be shown by the experts. Any strings that I order are always despatched promptly. They might not always get back to your queries immediately but that is because they are a small family run business but the quality and attention you get from them is second to none. I highly recommend. Lovely lovely people and wonderful harps."
