Cainark Dog Training

I recently completed a 4 week behavioural course with Steve. Our dog is a Romanian rescue and although she is wonderful after careful introductions over time, she is reactive to strangers. Steve worked with us to build our confidence, which has in turn, been building hers. Family and friends have commented on how much calmer she appears to be and we are certainly seeing the difference too. We've even learned some fantastic techniques and brain games to incorporate into her daily routine and walks which has strengthened our bond even more than ever. Being 7 years old, it's not an overnight fix, but we are continuing with her training and I can see such a huge improvement in her behaviour. I also feel confident in knowing how to handle certain situations that may be triggering for her.Huge thanks to Steve at Cainark, it was worth every penny!

We have just completed our 6 week Puppy Level 1 course, it was fun, filled with information, helpful tips, and new skills to practice - we really enjoyed our sessions with Connie. Chester now goes to Country Pooch daycare and absolutely loves it, he gets very excited when we arrive! Would highly recommend this place, it’s awesome!

Well what can I say … We decided to adopt a rescue dog she is a lovely dog but there were many things we knew we had to correct We went to a few walk classes but knew that we really needed that 121 training .Steve came along and within the first hour we were actually getting it what our Winnie needed to do The biggest issue was the front door when the door bell goes and the leaving the house Can’t believe Steve Worked his Magic on her and we understood where we we were going wrong the lead walking session was amazing too what a difference in our dear little Winnie Steve has really turned her around But .,. At the end of the day he was training us ! We have one happy little lakeland now who has become a “Super Star” Can’t thank Steve enough for all the help and the amazing team you have One BIG thankyou xx

We have just completed a four week course with Mike who has been working with us and our giant schnauzer puppy Loki. Loki was 5 months old when we started that training and we were struggling with excessive barking and attention seeking behaviour predominantly. From the first session Mike provided us with a number of extremely useful tools to create a calmer home environment and enabling us to build Loki’s confidence when alone. The excessive barking was an extremely difficult task and Mike had to do a lot of research to find different approaches for us to try and we are now making some progress and the attention barking and alarm barking are becoming more manageable! We also did some work with Mike out and around distractions looking at recall, lead walking, loose lead walking and even off lead in our final session! It was great to spend some time out with Mike as it really built my confidence with Loki and I cannot believe we managed to get Loki walking off lead in the Common during the school holidays at six months old - it was amazing! So thank you very much for your help and guidance - it has been a lifesaver and I would highly recommend!

We have just finished Cainark’s 6 week puppy course. Connie and the other trainers were incredibly knowledgeable, listened to our questions and tailored the training to the needs of our puppy. Toby enjoyed the sessions and we came away each week feeling confident and excited about practicing the skills we’d been taught. Thank you all very much.

Our experience with Cainark has been great. We loved Puppy Level 1 and they were very helpful into talking through what to do next - puppy level 2 came at a great time as Toby’s behaviour changed as he became an adolescent. Steve was always willing to share his expert perspective and advice about every aspect of Toby’s development, from his health, to behaviour, to our growth as trainers and even his play with other dogs. We always get the sense that all the staff at Cainark and Country Pooch really cared about Toby. Thank you!

After taking on a 2 yr old dog that was both nervous & reactive & hadn’t been walked on a lead before I decided after a few months to look for some help in her training. After posting online & getting a few recommendations I decided on Cainark. After the first 1:1 to see what was involved it was clear it would be worth to sign up for the next 3 at the reduced offer & was worth every penny. Steve not only helped in improving Bella’s confidence & reducing her reactivity but he has given me the tools & techniques needed to get her as far as she has come. I would never have understood some of the behaviours & warning signs that I now recognise so quickly to help her in all situations. Everyone comments on what a different dog she is from my first visit to see her to now & the training has been key. Cainark also provide on going group & socialisation meets so you know you are not the only one!

Absolutely fantastic puppy level 1 coursen, we would highly recommend! Connie is a fun, knowledgeable and encouraging trainer and both us and our puppy learned so much. We use both Cainark training and Country Pooch for dog day care and we couldn't be happier with both. Can't wait for level 2!! Thank you!
