Delicious cakes and really friendly staff. Male server asked if I wanted my milk or hot water in my tea pot to be filled up, which I haven’t been asked elsewhere. Lovely gifts and cards for sale too.

Excellent food, tha place was very busy but food arrived quickly and was piping hot and delicious. It has outdoor seating as well as indoor. A public toilet. Very clean surroundings and friendly staff.

We had 2 meals here during our recent walking holiday in the Peak District and both were delicious! Freshly made and using quality ingredients. The service was also really good, personable and prompt. Will definitely return when we're in the area.

A lovely family owned cafe. The coffee is spot on and there are loads of delicious choices, which change seasonally, regarding cakes and pastries. Super warm, genuinely kind and friendly staff— a member of staff even gave us a lift back to another village, as we’d walked out and the weather had got really bad. Which was incredibly generous. Also dog friendly. Would highly recommend!

Not often that we enjoy our favourite elements in one place - great coffee, delicious food, friendly service (often at least one of these missing). The quiet road outside was a pleasant bonus. Staff/ owners seem like lovely people, we felt welcome.

Small but perfectly formed, describes this venue! Plenty of outdoor seating, but weather was a little variable for that option when we visited. Lovely staff and food that tasted every bit as good as it looked. We had spinach and feta tart and a roasted veg, chilli jam, cheese toasty, both served with a delicious homemade coleslaw, and great coffee. Not the cheapest lunch out there, but definately worth the money.

Had a beautiful lunch here. I’m a tricky customer as I have a few intolerances but the chef was brilliant, reassuring and very accommodating. Such a lovely cafe with a fantastic menu.

Village Green Cafe
Great little cafe with some great options available, catering fo food intolerances and vegan requirements. Only stopped for a cake and drinks this time, but hope to return for breakfast or brunch one day. Service was great, very professional and friendly. Setting is lovely, we were lucky enough to have a table outside. Would definitely return.
