Our rental car had a tire warning light come on. Fortunately Huw Lewis was still open. They filled up the tire and reset our car's computer. It was late in the day and they could not have been more helpful and pleasant. A fantastic level of service. Thank you for helping out some weary travellers. I could not recommend this place more.

Absolutely brilliant service, we had a little run in with a mountain on holiday and called for a new tyre (not a very popular tyre) but they had stock and fixed it immediately. Lovely staff only happy to help, we given free coffee to warm up on also, which was very appreciated considering we had just spent the last hours in rain and snow.

Vehicle dangerously misaligned...to the point I am investigating criminal negligence of mechanics working that day. (I believe it was done to 'perform remedial work', bumping up the young customers' invoice.) Protyre failing to respond. Advertised telephone number not working. It's not even a matter of professionalism...but of personal integrity. Mach deserves better than this. Adjusting a vehicle tracking by more than a thread or 2 is extraordinarily rare, no mechanic is unaware of this. The vehicle drove in normally and was a danger to all road users after the work done here.

Went for an MOT on my old van. It failed as I expected with a long list of repairs needed, including -'Nearside Rear Service brake excessively binding unable to test tyre or wheel bearing as a result (1.2.1 (f))'I then asked them what is meant by 'Service brake..' to which the the manager in the office confirmed that the 'Service brake is the brake system used for normal stopping, separate from the Parking Brake'.I took the vehicle away for repairs and had everything fixed within the ten day re-test time limit. Only to be told on the re-test that it had now failed on (and only on) -'Parking brake efficiency below requirements (1.4.2 (a) (i))'I was a bit taken back as the tester could easily see that I had dealt with the long list of failures one by one. You'd think that he would respect that I had taken the issues seriously. So to then fail it on a new issue was a a bit un-fair in my view.The Parking Brake had not been pointed out as needing repair on the original test. Nor had they said it needed looking at, or that they had not tested it as a result of the rear brake bind.. To be fair, if they had said the re-test will include a new test on the parking brake due to the binding service brake I'd understand, rather than leaving me uninformed.I'd also mentioned before the original test that the parking brake was well known to be rubbish on these vehicles and could they look at it. Forums for these vans (Ducato's) are full of examples of owners struggling to get them through the MOT due to the handbrake. They are obviously inadequate for the size of the vehicle and nearly always require being over-adjusted for the purpose of passing the test. It is a design flaw, but it does not make the vehicle unsafe to use so long as it works to hold the vehicle such as for a hill start.The tester had a attitude of, as he said 'working by the book' which meant he would not adjust any part of the vehicle during the test, such as by spending two minutes tightening a cable adjuster on the hand brake line.. In my experience a good tester, would go beyond being a jobsworth and would at least discuss the problems or be helpful in a fair way that enables a fair outcome. This centre seemed to be more concerned with making money by flying through MOT tests one after the other, with little consideration for communication, helpfulness or feedback. I will not be returning.

Appalling services. Sent my son in for a new light bulb. The gentleman had no time to deal with popping in a light bulb but persisted to tell my son without even looking at the car that someone may have messed with the electrics and he wouldn’t therefore touch the car at all. Poor lad new driver never had any experience with problems in his car was half scared to death that his car had been messed with and was also going to cost him a fortune to put right. Disgrace. We got on the phone to another localGarage who seen my son in 15 minutes as they deemed it an emergency as they didn’t want his to have a car with no lights!!!! They popped the bonnet replaced two light bulbs a two minute job and guess what problem was fixed. Staff obviously can’t be bothered. If you didn’t have the time a simple sorry mate I have no time to replace a light bulb would have been fine. No need to scare monger.
