Walsall Golf Club

The golf course is well laid out. Unfortunately the course has had a lot of rain on it over the past few days. The green keepers have not been able to complete their tasks. I think when dry the course would be very good to play.

Not a long course by todays standards but very nicely laid out. The club staff and members were very welcoming. A lot of the holes are tight requiring well placed shots. You can't afford to be wide here otherwise you are chipping out from the trees.

1st trip to play Walsall Golf course where the welcome was good. Unfortunately, we arrived too early for breakfast, but just as we were going out, others were sitting g down to some and it did look very good! What is more important is the golf and the course was OK. I'm sure that in the summer, it's much prettier and the run would help, we suffered through no run and a strong wind after 8 holes. Some interesting par 3's, which were challenging and one or two of the par 4's proved interesting.The down side to the course is that it is early in the season, and unfortunately, the ground was very wet. From my point of view, the other was that there were no stand out holes that made you shake your head and really crave to play the hole again to put your mistakes right. But if you're looking to play golf in a nice area, enjoy a very good club house and the odd drink and meal, Walsall would take some beating.

Course was in great condition and more specifically, exceptionally good greens. Despite being the hottest day of the year to date, greens were receptive and allowed you to go pin seeking. Some of the best in the west midlands in my opinion. Unfortunately no food was available for this Sunday afternoon round but a good crowd of members in the bar and enjoyable atmosphere with pleasant staff. Very highly recommended

Great course. Nice bar and outside area for a drink after a round of golf. Bar staff are great -;l especially Tia - a real star.

Great course, and considering the weather days prior to our visit, in very good condition, the course is fairly flat which for us oldies is a bonus, but it is still not an easy course. Some very interesting holes and greens are well protected.The staff are very friendly and we were well looked after throughout the day. Our meal was very tasty and well prepared, empty plates all round.This is the second year we have played the course, after recommendations from some members of our home club, and we have already decided we will return in 2024

We didn’t experience this course in the best of weather. Drenched doesn’t begin to describe the state we weee in come the end of the round, but having paid, we played.The course however was lovely goods tee boxes, good fairways and very nice greens. The 18th par 5 is a lovely hole to finish with.The members we met on the day were all very welcoming, and apologetic for the weather, although I’m certain they had no control of it!The welcome was extended in the clubhouse, with good food being served.A course I would play again if I was in the area. Hopefully in sunshine next time.

Great golf course, some really challenging holes but a few to keep your score card alive. Only reason not a 5*, not the best draining of courses so it can get a little soft under foot

Had a great afternoon at Walsall, the course was in great shape and as visitors we were made to feel very welcome. We had a drink in the bar after and Tia who served us is a real asset to the club.
