Lots of lovely cats waiting for good homes. Run by Jane and Michael who are friendly, caring, dedicated and generous. Assisted by some really committed helpers.

Worst place to get hold someone. My wife and i tried for weeks get hold of someone here as we was very interested in adopting a Cat and guy kept saying ring back later every time we did he say ring back later again. Emails also nothing. In end i finally got hold of someone and told me he wont travel 20 miles to see my house . Maybe you need put that on your website to not waste peoples time that you only travel 10 miles or less. How you call yourself Cat adoption when you wont travel small distance up road. Shame as i would have loved to adopt cat from here.

They are very hard to get hold of, I called multiple times and emailed. The final time I called as I was leaving a voicemail Michael answered with ‘I was standing next to the phone so I may as well talk to you’. He was very abrasive, did not let me talk and told me that he wouldn’t allow me to adopt a cat because of a policy it sounded like he just made up on the spot. He also assumed I was a student which I am not. I’m a working professional, I work from home and have had animals my whole life big and small but he didn’t wait around to find out.As I had also emailed he called me again the following week and had a very similar conversation where he didn’t let me talk and actually hung up the phone on me.If there is a ‘policy’ which would prevent people from adopting then you should state it on the website.Very upsetting experience and I would have loved to provide a home for one of the cats they advertised.

I am 38yrs old and a first time cat owner. I was matched with young Moose 5 months ago and he has been such a delight to have in our home. Moose came to me microchipped, neutered, vaccinated and very healthy. Jane and Michael run a labour of love with this shelter and i reccomend them, and adoption as a whole -100%.

They love their cats there. They are clean and well looked after they c the vet regularly. We got a rescue cat there although she is fine she is a lady and very shy has settled in well. It is always good to rehome an elderly cat

I adopted a pair of sister kitties from the City Cat Shelter. The couple that run it and their volunteers were incredibly lovely and helpful. We discussed my experience caring for cats, home, and lifestyle to ensure I homed cats that would be a good fit. I was provided with a voucher for them to be neutered, and they very kindly brought the cats to my home to ensure they settled in well and that I had all the right provisions in place. I'm very happy to say the cats and I have made a great family together. Thank you City Cat Shelter!
